but overall I guess it depends on what grounds you would be deferring the admission

Well, there you have it CLASSICHSY.

WestAfrican:

It is possible to defer if you have genuine reason(s) and evidence (s) to back up your claims.
Compationate and compelling reason(s) could be:
-Death of loved one / sponsor
-Sickness (Of the student)
-Lost of vital belongings after entering the country. Etc.

In some cases were your deferment is more than a semester or trimester, school may advise you return back to your home country. Furthermore, it is illegal to work when not enrolled in a school or to work full time when not on school holidays or risk being deported.

hello house,
I obtained and submitted form A today at a first bank branch in Lagos to make payment for my deposit fees. it was after I left the bank that i remembered there was no part where I fill my account details on the form. My initial deposit fees is in my bank account but they didn't request for my account details. i have since been wondering how payment will be made since they dont have my account details? There was a part where I filled in my phone number on the form. Are they going to contact me on phone and request for my account details at the point of processing? Or Should I go back to the bank and complain? Answers pls. Tnx.

Just my input on the best way to do form A. I waited this long to share this info because i wanted to try it first. I got all my form A payment within a week of applying. Though it was deducted in 3 tranches.

Sorry i cannot help with anybody's contact i just want to pass the info across but it is left to you to explore and utilize.

The answer to form A is Zenith Bank + Zenith staff + Abuja branch. What i mean by this is that Zenith give preference to her staffs when it comes to form A. And CBN gives preference to Zenith when it comes to forex.

So if you want your form A fixed with a week to two weeks:

1. Look for an Abuja branch Zenith bank staff
2. Fund his/her official account with the naira value of your tuition
3. Raise the payment invoice in his/her name
4. Send the invoice with your international passport and certificate
5. Then wait.

It took mine 8days when i went through this process, if you apply as a normal customer it will not might, it will take you upto 6months.

This is Nigeria, we always know someone that will know someone that works in Zenith that knows a colleague that works in Abuja. But i cannot help with that somebody.

Note. They might not want to come out straight to you.
But because lots of people has been selfless on the thread i decided to put in my widows mite too.

Believe i got a very good exchange rate, infact lower than interbank rate.

I am focusing on my visa application now.

Wow! happy for you, I am trying to pay mine too but its been story upon stories.
Thanks for sharing......I pray I get this kinda someone too.

beats my imagination how people that were here in the last intake asking for help on how to go about their visa and all. will disappear and reappear just to advertise their email as one to contact for agent to newbies in the thread . Why can't you pass on all what you got to the next guys going for the subsequent intake. .... disappointing... smh

No. They accept PTE too. Pearson's test of English is also accepted in the UK, Canada, US.

I'll advice you go PTE it is cheaper and easier. I did mine without any form preparation and i got an ielts equivalent of 7 allthrough the various categories.

I agree with you. People should share their experiences here rather than making everything private ( advertising their email). We all want to learn so we can proceed.

Hello!
I must say I appreciate what everyone on here giving out valuable information is doing, I've read through quite a few pages and I must say it is very informative and impressive... Kudos to everyone.

I am interested in the making the move to the Great Oz! I think it is a really nice country with opportunities (definitely better than Nigeria).
I have a BSc in Chemistry from a Nigerian university and I've completed my NYSC, I got an offer for an MSc in Finance last year into Griffith university but I did not take up the offer. I have gone through the Skilled Occupation List and would like to make the right move, considering I'd like to stay back after my studies.

I'd like the experts in the house to please weigh in and advice me on the proper thing to do as regards choice of course to study taking into consideration my first degree, the SOL and the assessment factor ( I read somewhere in the previous pages that your first degree is just as important as any advanced degree you might acquire and plays a major role in assessment). For example if I were to decide to come to Australia and study maybe Chemical Engineering, how will this play out? OR Would it be possible to switch career path and study something in maybe Psychology (this majorly to ensure that I stand a chance of getting something after my studies, I think it will be a complete waste to find out after studies that I won't be able to achieve my aim). I am asking these questions so I know how well to prepare myself and to be able to make the right decision. Please feel free to furnish me with any information you feel is necessary. Thanks.
