I strongly believe Donald Trump will not go beyond first term presidency, if at all he is able to complete the first term.but then Trump is not a man of Honor, he can do a 360 degree on all his vituperations before the election and tie the path of reformed democrat and listen to voice of reason. He was appointed Chancellor after the Nazi party won more seats in the Reichstag( sort of national assembly). The only elections he actually contested, he finished runner up. My point is the comparison to Trump is too extreme. Trump could have said things similar to what Hitler said, but I believe comparing them is a bit of an exergerration. The American institution is too complex and too woven for Trump to carry out his mundane threats. For one, he can't build a wall to keep out Mexico. It costs about $25bn to do that. He won't get the required Congress support to carry it out. He can't withdraw the US forces from East Europe and South China Sea. Doing that will result in the middle East and Europe being over run with terrorists and North Korea getting more aggressive on the South. Even if he wanted to, I'm sure Congress would find away to impeach him. For most, he was the lesser of the two evils; so he was picked.

Against any other equally weighted candidate, he would have lost.

You're right. After spending a better part of campaign calling Obamacare the worst thing he ever heard about, he actually came off a meeting with the incumbent saying there were things in Obamacare he actually liked.

Trump electoral promises were at the very least, preposterous. And just like the APC govt in Nigeria, he simply can't deliver on them and that may be his very undoing.

I guess that from your knowledge of things you know who runs the establishment in the US. Fears are rife for Trump's life. From Lincoln to Kennedy, presidents who have gone against the grain of the establishment have all been assassinated.
