This is to appeal to every southerners that our future is in our hands. A united south is what we need now to stand against northern oppression and divide and rule tactics. We must ensure we work together to restore power to the south by 2019. The north obviously has a grand plan of retaining power for so long and this is obvious in the way Tinubu is been put in check so as to limit his influence in the party decisions and made irrelevant in the scheme of things. We never expected such treatment from the north after all we did to support Buhari in the last election. Oyegun is obviously been used to fight a proxy war with Tinubu by the born to rule caliphate up north who will do anything to render his power bloc handicap so as to ensure their grip on power. We need the support our SS/SE brothers to make this happen. Lets us unite and forget all grievances. A united south can wrestle power away from the north with the support of Christian minorities in the middle belt and the north. GEJ was a bad president contrary to our thoughts in 2011 when we supported him massively with our votes. He failed woefully and corruption thrived to the highest heavens during his tenure. Contrary to the believe of our SS/SE brothers, yoruba's did not vote Jonathan out because of hatred or betrayal. He simply under-performed and did nothing for the SW region and even boasted that Igbo's are the backbone of his presidency forgetting that the SW supported him massively in 2011. Buhari appeared to be the messiah but so far, the hardship in the land is so unbearable and there is no end in sight to the present predicaments facing us as a nation. Buhari has no economic blueprint and his style of governance is archiac and filled with bad policies like banning forex for importation of consumer goods and releasing the same scarce forex for Islamic religious pilgrimage. It's a bad situation we are in and we need to co-operate to undo this mistake in 2019. Every one is facing hardship and bearing the brunt of inflation and recession irrespective of our tribes and regions. This is why we need the support of our SS/SE brothers in 2019 to vote buhari out. Let's form an alliance and forget past mis-deeds. We are better united in the south than been ruled by a primitive caliphate who believed they are born to rule without positive results....

Anyway if this news is truth which I seriously doubt it's authenticity, then the SW alliance with the north which some yoruba goons are not pleased with the northern agenda will be a child's play compare to how the north will roast south east after 2019 taking the country far backward stone age.

Honestly, north are wiser because they know the southerners are not united with the aim of using some of South regions to achieve their dominance.

At this point, the country is so divided and one of the solution to this current mess is true federalism.

On thing am surprised about these South easterners is that they always claim to hate buhari, Islam, sharia, one nigeria etc. These set of confused human beings are romancing with PMB because they want political power, access to money and to punish SW? Good development even though president Buhari is the only competent northern politician I know. I like the strategy. it might lead to solutions if the south west align with the north again with the south east aligned with them. We keep the north as president and the south west and south east and others alternate the vice presidency.

The problem in Nigeria is that the south west and south east wants to play organizers because of education and population. But they see each other as competitors instead of collaborators. The religion has de marginalized the south east and to some extent the south south zone. So this cooperation will make us work together if the presidency is locked in with the north. Any of these two zones that vote with the north wins the highest office.

Tinubu is a greedy man cos he think Nigeria is Lagos state were you can lord over everybody. If his candidate in ondo state had won d primaries and the party called for cancelation, would he not look as a downgrade on his person. Politics is like football cos you win some and also lose some too. He is not d only major person that brought victory to Apc. What of Ameachi who fought Gej to standstill and with Saraki led notable pdp chieftain to Apc. With or without Tinubu in 2019 Buhari will still win. He brought vp and he still want to put his boys as senate president and speaker. What a greedy man.

Lol. Don't mind my pacifist brothers. Truth is, we will solicit, not beg for Igbo votes. It is at your discretion to form a consensus or not. The curse of ifa will rest on the household of the Yoruba man that will come and beg for votes from Igbo.

We are wise enough to know your motivations and thinking pattern, and we will make our plans according to existing realities. We have been on the active opposition longer than any other tribe and we will survive just fine.

Not that I support this contraption called Nigeria but I think the southwest should forget about alliance with SE/SS. It will never work! After all the campaigns of calumny against GEJ just because he didn't let southwest have it all in his administration. One Yoruba poster here even boasted that GEJ was kicked out because he didn't yield to obasanjo's every demand. I can never align with any region that is ready to vote out my trusted and loved leader just because of one man's interest.

Lmao, just some few months back these people were boasting about how politically sophisticated and indispensable they are in the Nigerian politics, and today here are they crying foul.

It beats my imagination how the southwest claim that they made buhari President! The truth is that southwest made only little impact in Buhari's electoral victory. The north and some saboteurs in the south east who prevented massive rigging for GEJ from that end were actually those that it possible for buhari to win. The southwest is only taking the glory of other people's efforts and claiming political sophistication.

I would rather align with the north than southwest. That is like choosing between two devils though.

Which age long southern unity? The Azikiwe/Ahmadu Bello coalition against Awolowo of the 60's or the Shagari/Ekwueme coalition against Awo in the late 80's or the Nzeribe's ABN court case against Abiola's election or what exactly?

We were playing sophisticated politics long before awolowo your sage came along. Even the white men attested to how advanced igbo politics were in pre-colonial times.
How do you think Nigeria gained independence? Is there any yoruba politician as relevant as Nnamdi Azikiwe when he was alive?
