They might not even know that such a book exists. All clergymen play on the ignorance of their congregations, and withhold important information like that.

Can you imagine a Semi-Illiterate BRICKLAYER, GRASS-CUTTER, DITCH-DIGGER, NIGHTSOILMAN, WATER-MERCHANT, being a church member? Of course you can. You see it all the time.

Can you imagine these people being put into a BIBLE-STUDY Scheme together?
