For those who are feeling overly anxious concerning the release of the admission list, I will like you to sit back and consider the following.

First, the 2016/2017 academic session would not begin until April or May next year. We need no soothsayer to say this as it is the obvious reality. So if OAU should release the list even tonight, you still can't resume just yet. Why worry then?

By the time the list is out and you're fortunate enough to get admitted, what you'd need to do afterward is to pay the necessary fees like acceptance fee which is most paramount. Either way, you'll still wait till next year.

Second, we know there are two sides to a coin. Have you pondered on your next line of action if it doesn't turn out good with OAU? Putting all your aspirations or thoughts in one basket is often risky. I'm not trying to cause pessimism in your heart, as I'm an optimistic guy, but just think of it this way: "where do I fall back on?" Well, you may want to retake JAMB next year, that's okay. The point really is, you should always have a plan B.

Some of you might have gained admission elsewhere and you might be in a dilemma over going ahead or waiting for OAU. Well, I'd advice you to forge ahead with that while you keep an eye on OAU (that is if you're financially bouyant to cover the cost). In essence, try to have a backup.

Third, preparedness is key. You should begin to cultivate the attitude of staying true to your purpose. This only comes when you have focus. In this waiting period, the major aspect of your life should be about how well you wish to finish when you're finally admitted. If you're a JAMBite, you ought to have figured out your possible hurdles and the likes. Know your goal and get yourself attached to a productive venture like learning a skill. Sitting idle and allowing time pass by will not help you. Now, if you're a DE applicant, I'm sure you already know the demands of being in school, so I'd advice you to sustain your focus and surely, the sky will be just your starting point.

In conclusion, the long awaited admission list won't escape this month without its release. That's no news, is it? Yeah, that's JAMB's directive. So basically, it's a no-brainer to give yourself mental or emotional stress. Committing your ambition to God through ceaseless prayer should be part of your daily routines now. Prayer works. If you're harbouring fear for whatever reason, just go on your knees and pray. Don't rule out yourself. DON'T!

I see you excelling and making your parents proud. With God's purpose and Will in view for your life, you're more than conquerors.

God bless you.
