Confirmed reports reaching our news desks says Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma (AAU) Shut Down till further notice due to the ongoing protest by students of the institution because of hike in fee.

today's protest was bloody a student was shot on the leg.
thank God no life was lost.

A press statement signed by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Edward Aihevbe, said

the decision to close the institution indefinitely was reached after the University’ Senate reviewed the students’ protest.
He said the university’s Senate viewed the protest as uncalled for and unnecessary as management was already looking into their grievances. The students barricaded the Benin-Ekpoma-Auchi highway.
He denied social media report that two students were shot by security agents.
He said the students were given until 4pm to vacate the institution. “No student was shot. They barricaded the highway and soldiers escorting an an Army vehicle that was passing the road had to shoot into the air to scare the students away.”

I was keenly following the event before now. I didn't know it was going to get here so soon.

And yes, it was two students that were shot, one on the leg while the other in the hand. Don't mind the school authority's report.

And by the way, those protesting students didn't carry out their protest logically, if I'm to be honest.

.different stories everywhere! na wa oo.. two stdnts wer actually shot, one on d leg nd d oda one got hit across d face by a stray bullet... twas meant to b a peaceful protest bfor ds yeye uniform men started shooting. .. d stdnts got angry afterwards nd started destroying things nd evn burnt down a truck conveying rice to d north..

buh pple carry rice go house sha oo.. see stdnts hustling to get bags of rice!!.. May God help us

still counting how many schools that has been shut down under PMB... but I've missed count.... imagining you increasing the school fee in this recession..... it's pure wickedness..... the government doesn't have the masses at heart.....
protest under PMB becomes bloody... just like the Shiites.... God help us....
I went to pay my nepa bill today and someone was pricing his nepa bill-he was like, bros abeg how much be low current.

when I got to find out that the minister of agriculture studied French and minister of power / housing studied law....
so I've finally decided to study marketing cause I'll end up working in an hospital as a doctor.....and my twin brother will study economy and work in an airport as a pilot...
