1.2 billion naira is 100 million naira in 12 places.
one bundle of 1000 naira notes is 100,000 naira.
10 such bundles make 1 million naira.
100 ×10 such bundles = 100 ×1 million naira.
1000 bundles =100 million naira
12× 1000 bundles = 12×100 million naira
12,000 bundles = 1200 million naira
12,000 bundles = 1.2 billion naira.
12,000 ×100 (1000 notes)=1.2 billion naira.


There are 1,200,000 one thousand naira notes in 1.2 billion naira.

Even if we have everything as 500 naira notes, that would be 2,400,000 five hundred naira notes. Could counting 1,200,000 (#1000 notes) or 2,400,000 (#500 notes) take 10 days??!!!!!!!!


If it takes a machine to count 100 (#1000) notes in 15 secs,then 12,000(100 one thousand naira notes) will take 12,000 ×15 =180000seconds

180000secs÷60=3000mins

3000mins÷60=50 hours

How then could 50 hours become 10 days?

Why won't stories like this one make front page! When majority of Nigerians won't calm down and reason. Bankers especially those of a reputable bank like Zenith must surely have automated money counters, with these counters they could count Billions in 1 or 2 days. Let us all stop deceiving ourselves and challenge all these stories that don't make no damn sense!

Have u been to a bank's bulk room before. Even when they have 4 5 staffs in the bulk room, they struggle to count 100M b4 4 pm. Let's say ok cos they may be in different denominations.

Now counting money as much as a billion Naira, does not involve just counting, u count, stamp for every 100k if its 1k denomination, than strap for 1m, 500k 200k depending on the denomination. U see that strapping alone
