Good afternoon.. Today's protest was serious. It started at about 5am when students blocked the gate of the game now campus saying no movement in or out campus... The protest was later extended to dha high federal road where students disrupted movement withing Benin lokoja express way.. At first , police men came aND the students were bent on not leaving dha school premises until something is done about dha school fees... The protesters marched from the main campus to the college ti activities were also disrupted there and the college gate was locked and all collegians marched to dha main campus to join dha protest..

Information has it dhat two students were shot which prompted the protesters to engage in violent activities which included destruction of trailers,and burning of heavy duty vehicle carrying bags of rice.. It was later said dhat the protesters after dha word of dha NANS president, freed the federal high way and burnt tires at the school gate.. For now, no movement in ND out campus as the environment isn't conducive at all..

Senate at its emergency meeting held on Monday, 14th November, 2016, reviewed the circumstances leading to wild jubilation by students on Monday, 14th November, 2016, and resolved as follows:
1) That Senate condemned the the action of the students which it considered uncalled for and unwarranted
2) Flowing from the above, Senate decided that all academic activities in the University be suspended immediately .
3) That all students should vacate the campus latest 4: 00 pm today, Monday, 14th November, 2016.
4) That, other academic activities and normal University work is not affected by this decision of Senate. The offices, should remain opened.
5) That students, Parents, Guardians and the general public should take note and comply in their own interest.

Ambrose Alli University has been set in a state
of Sigma Bragabum as students shut down the
University Community Due to the Increment of
Schools fees by the school management.
A Protest which started Peacefully at about 6
a.m this Morning saw the gathering of over 4,000
students at the Main Campus and the College of
Basic Medicine.
No vehicle was allowed to enter the University
Premises, Not even the VC of the University was
allowed to go in, as a result, no University
activity was carried out today.
According to our source, things became bad when
two students were shot by Men of the Nigerian
Army, one in the leg, and the other in the Face.
Due to this, angry students burnt down a Trailer
conveying bags of Rice to the North, and all
the bags of rice were taken by Angry students
and Natives Present at the scene.
The Benin Auchi Express way was blocked by
students for over 5hours, and motorist had to
find other routes
Students Proceeded into the University, where they
vandalized doors and windows of the University
Newest Building, Donated by the ETF
Due to this, the University Authorities have
ordered all students to Vacate the Premises
before 4pm today. And All academic Activities
will be on a Halt for Now.
The students Continue with their Aluta Spirit, and
they have threatened that if something is not
done about the school fees hike, A National
Congress will be held.
The National Association of Nigerian Students is
aware of this Protest, and Representatives from
the Union were Present at the scene of the
Protest.

The nigeria govt do not yeild to soft or peaceful demonstrations, but aggressive and anomic protest. I wish those students that were shot quick recovery.
Its only in this country that military get involve in a civil protest, shame on oshiomole and the school management. With this silly action by the school management, the old students will likely join in the protest. Because the school have no regards for its students, and its becoming too much.
