Hello, I studied Chemistry too and I am going for nursing. You can check fast track/second degree/graduate entry nursing degree(2years) courses that will enable you become a registered nurse and also an easy route to getting PR. Cheers

Also maybe you should check out Edith Cowan University's (graduate entry) Master of Nursing Program.

We have 419 here in this group.

I should have raised this alarm since but the fear that it might block ways for decent people.

I had a deal with some guy, frankie2k (moniker) with name Anuma Franklin over two weeks ago.
To be honest, he asked me if I should accept pay before service, I said no, after service, u pay. In case it dose not work so u would not come online and cry wolf.

Now, it's obvious I was foolish to have made dat decision.
For two weeks now, he keeps telling me he dnt have network to transfer my money and his not replying my mails no more. U can imagine.

Dis a small money but if u can't trust people with little, how do u expect to trust them with mighty.

It's an eye opener and am sorry if this will affect a chance to help others in need. But I wonder why someone who's seeking visa would toil with his grace by incurring ill luck already.

That's nice!
Are you still in the processing stage or do you already have an offer from a university/college?
I'd appreciate if you can give me pointers on how to go about it.
Also I hope there won't be any issue with obtaining a visa ( CO will have no reason to wonder what the connection is between Nursing and Chemistry), you do understand this.

Thanks!
I applied to Masters of Nursing(graduate entry) at the university of melbourne and I am still expecting admission offer. My SOP will solve the connection and also I have a letter from a NGO healthcare as a volunteer.

I have been told to go ahead that it wont be affected. Thanks and Regards,
if they stick with the deadline, then whenever the payment gets to them and u accept the offer, ur offer will automatically be deferred to the next semester.

Statement of Purpose.

The dynamic world we live in today is a place where immense financial and economical activity has resulted in wealth being amassed and destroyed at an unprecedented scale in different parts of it. These have brought about challenges which will require increased depth and understanding for the changing dynamics of markets and economies, which will present opportunities to build more reliable systems and institutions. I believe this backdrop provides a great opportunity to further my academic studies in the area of finance.

My interest in Money planning stemmed from my childhood days, when I would try to dictate what and what not should be bought for me based on my personal priorities and also try to get cash value for proposed presents or gifts I was promised, though this actions where involuntary at that time, it became a part of me gradually and consistently. I also grew up knowing my mum to be a savvy business woman and a strict financial planner, and I guess that also naturally rubbed off on me.
I was able to gain my firsthand experience in one of our family business that started right after my secondary education, it is a water factory that produces safe drinking water in economical packs and made affordable for low income earners. Apart from the factory being a great opportunity that sharpened my business and financial planning skills, I was also motivated to work because the brand name for the factory and products was coined out of my first name. As my mum was busy with the other businesses, and I was the only sibling available at the time, we intended for me to assist the new factory for 2years, after which I can go for my university studies, but 2 years turned out to be 5 years, albeit, without regrets as ? is the most profitable of the family subsidiaries today. Work descriptions while at the factory included but not limited to Sales, distribution and accounts managements, Production quality and quantity management, Logistics management, Staff deployments, Brand representative and customer service. It was from this experience that I felt studying Industrial Mathematics at undergraduate level would overcome my weakness and satisfy my interest and provide me with solid basics and more knowledge for a future career. My desire to pursue further academic studies is fueled by the enriching and complementing experience I have had with
My undergraduate academically rigorous degree in Industrial Mathematics also enhanced the passion of finance as a further academic study. I believe that further studies in finance and banking especially one that is more mathematical, will deepen my understanding and knowledge, which I believe is going to be useful in improving myself, family business and the general economical landscape of Nigeria.
Some modules provided in the Finance and Banking course at ECU such as "financial analysis and modeling", "financial markets and institutions", "investment management", and "quantitative skills for business" are of key interest to me because of prior knowledge and the practical application it will have to recent problems confronting Nigerias economical landscape. I was also very fascinated to discover that some subtopics for my course like Statistics, Probability, Time Series analysis, Growth rate projections, error analysis, complex systems analysis e.t.c. are actually topics have come across in my undergraduate study.
To achieve my career goals, I know I need to learn much more about current developments and techniques in finance, financial markets and financial applications and also acquire hands-on experience of financial analysis. Earning a master’s Degree in Finance is a next step in my career that I dream to achieve.
I believe this master's Degree will provide me with theoretical understanding, an in depth idea of practical approaches in aiding managerial decision-making and research skills to enable me to develop an expertise in the core areas of financial strategies and global corporate financial operations.
My short term goal and first point of call/duty on returning home after this course would be to reposition the ?? brand, not just as water manufacturers only but a competitive health&safety brand that would manufacture and produce other healthy liquid based products like Vitamin water, Energy drinks, Ozonated water, e.t.c while still maintaining its core values of safety, healthy and affordable.
I love to impact knowledge and share ideas too, so, I would apply for part time lecturing job in Nigeria, preferably, my home state educational institutions.
Knowing also that the Nigerian economy is not at its best at present due to the ailing price of crude oil and other factors, the present Government is aggressively trying to diversify from crude oil dependency, now the Youths are getting tremendous support and encouragement to engage in Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, Vocational skills and more. In view of this, I tend to believe that there would be more need for proper quality financial advisory and planning, especially on seeking/applying for funds, managing finances and utmost utilization of available capitals, most especially for start ups and the small, medium enterprises(SMEs) which my expertise should come in handy.
I would also explore other areas and ways I can be of service for my country and contribute my quota to the Nation's building.
My long term career goal is to combine fundamental, technical and quantitative analysis (i believe returns can be exploited effectively from these combinations) effectively by becoming a very successful and reputable Financial Analyst and Investment consultant and own/partner a world class Financial/Investment Firm.
The Masters of finance and banking, though available locally, would not give me the indepth satisfaction of quality, inclusiveness and experience that I so desire, also the travel experience and the global connections that would be made would play a major part in my life goals of being an international player in the financial field.
Australia happens to be a developed country that has a rich and vibrant multicultural and peaceful society with a world class educational system where all her Universities are world class and their Degrees honored and respected globally. It was no hard choice settling for my oversea quality study destination.
I have also fallen in love reading about Perth as a city and what it boasts of, most notable is the geographical location and weather conditions that sounds or seems just like Lagos City.
My choice of Edith Cowan university for post graduate studies stems from the facts that ECU is a new school (25 yeras) in Australia, its thirst, hunger and drive for achievements is astounding as regards any new Organisation or institution, this is evident as it was named in the Times Higher Education(THE) Worlds top Universities under 50 years in 2015, also, the 2015 Good Universities Guide rates ECU five stars, the highest star rating, for teaching quality. I believe that the intellectual ethos that ECU fosters will be of more advantage to me, as well as the climate, international and well diversified environment on offer where social and intellectual challenges are present, thus further developing and enhancing my psychological, analytical and logical mind-set.
All these will provide me an opportunity to deepen my understanding of finance in a more meaningful way, and in an environment which will be academically challenging and allow me to develop further as an individual. Also, being surrounded by like minded individuals who share the same passion and desire about the subject will allow for an exchange of views and ideas that would benefit all parties.
I appreciate the time taken to consider my application and I hope that the information I have shared has demonstrated both my academic ability and my passion to be a part of Australia's prestigious academic institutions as an MSc student.

Your name.

Am glad I could help. Yes, semester one. Have you taken IELTS or PTE? ECU requires no band less than 7.0 for IELTS or 65 for PTE and they will direct you to BCIE.

some banks like UBA will told u to bid for tuition and OSHC seperately, had similar issue while paying for my fee, the bid for tuition was successful under 2weeks while that of OSHC was unsuccessful for 3months, was told that CBN dont release forex for medicals related matter, had to get an invoice in form of tuition fee to pay for my OSHC in another bank.
Note: for those that want to pay their tuition fee, walk away from any bank where you are told to bid separately for tuition fee and OSHC.

I have created immi account for the dependent but still it doesn't give guide on what dependent application. The space that says Sponsor a partner to migrate to Australia is asking for transaction reference # or application ID which the dependent does not have yet. Its not showing anything like student dependant atall. IDEAS PLEASE !!!

If you intend to go into nursing because of PR, then I think you should check CSOL for Chemist requirement and apply for PR if you have experience and meet the requirements.
If otherwise, you can put away your MSc and apply with only BSc. Check schools for graduate entry nursing degree. Unimelb, ECU, Uni of Tasmania, QUT, Uni of Queensland etc.

Ayaboyo:
Hello all. This is my 9 month update.
We left Naija on the 30th of April 2015 via dubai courtesy IOM and arrived Melbourne on the 2nd of May 2015. We met Mayofikky another nairalander and her Family at the Airport. They were enroute Adelaide.
Got called for an Interview for a job I applied for while still in Naija on day 5. Two interviews and lots of phone calls to Naija for reference check, was told i was successful on day 10.
Started working on day 16th. Registered Son for Kinder . Meanwhile we went for a regional job fair on day two . We also did our centrelink and bank paperworks.

Salary is paid forthrightly for most people. We started house hunting towards the end of the month as agent needed reference from work and payslip as part of paperwork for character reference for house. We even got additional letter from our pastor. The fact that you have your money doesn't influence your getting a house. It your credit history and character reference that is key.

We moved from our friend's house who hosted us to a house a month after arrival. We were considered lucky as our host did not get a house for 6 months due to inability to quickly get a job.
Hubby started his masters at Unimelb in the 3rd month, so both kids being under 5 , started full-time daycare i.e $400 per week after govt rebate.

Luckily he got a job a job in a near entry role in his field after 4 months.Half bread is better than none.
We reviewed our finances and my commute time and family life balance. We decided I should start applying for part time jobs.
Luckily I applied and got a job for which over 2500 people applied. I was oneof the lucky 90 employed.
Less commute, half of the working hours of my previous job and same pay. It was a divine provision.

Lessons :God's grace and favor is key. You also need to be computer savvy. You are going to use the computer for everything including knowing where to get bus, train, food ,apply for job, benefits even house.
Police here are armed to the teeth, no sme sme.
Passing your driver test is more stressful than waiting for visa grant mail.
Australian meals are delicious, be prepared to change your palate.
Centrelink are slow to give but very swift to retrieve.
Aboo mi re oòo.

Please I sent you a PM. I'll be awaiting your response. Thanks
