STATS REPORT: Prior to their 3-1 loss to The Super Eagles, Algeria had not lost an international game in over a year. They last tasted the pill of defeat on October 9, 2015 when they were beaten 2-1 by Guinea in a friendly game decided at the Stade du 5 Juillet 1962 (al-Jaza’ir (Algiers). Also ............. The last time Algeria lost a competitive game before the November 12 WCQ tie was almost two years ago when they were beaten 3-1 by eventual champions, the Ivory Coast on February 1 at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Equatorial Guinea. 4 Likes 1 Share |

edi287: Very disturbing news. Nice post. I hope Dele Alli changes his attitude towards his parents and siblings. He is acting like a spoilt child. His parents did not give him the kind of life he wanted, it is obvious they still love and care for him. I hope he matures soon or he might regret his actions. His model girl friend should serve as a bridge, not someone who widens the gap between Dele and his family. Heart breaking for his mom to have his pictures all over her wall. Yet, such a child does not love her back. Super post edi287 |

joseph1013: Una no get money to dey organise friendlies like that. I'm sure we'll at least get some quality friendlies before the world cup, but for now, work with the finances. We don't need the friendly as much as they need it for now, so no need to tire our legs. Remember before our AFCON in 2013, we played Cape Verde and low profile teams as well. Make dem play Egypt first in January, we'll play quality teams with time. Relax |

TheSuperNerd:they honestly don't. That number 2 defender kept Mikel onside when he stopped and even when he moved forward to score, the guy followed him and still kept him onside for the goal. If they want to sign petitions, they can sign for the removal of their number 2 defender from the team 1 Like |

Kenny Otigba on Rohr's mind, but Mba also?... Hmmm... ....................................................................... Gernot Rohr Hands AFCON 2013 Hero Sunday Mba Super Eagles Lifeline Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has opened the door towards a potential recall for Nigeria AFCON 2013 hero Sunday Mba. Mba has been in the international wilderness since failing to make the cut to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, but Nigerians still hold him in high esteem after his goal in the AFCON final against Burkina Faso ended a 19 year wait for the Africa Cup of nations title in 2013. A wrongly advised move to French second division strugglers CA Bastia, didn’t help his cause especially as they got relegated to the third division six months after he joined them. He left the team two summers ago, following the expiration of his contract, and joined Yeni Malatyaspor in Turkey, where he appears to have regained the form that made him a firm fan favourite with Nigerians. His new found form led to a contract extension as the second division side are currently leading the log and are tipped to gain promotion to the top division in Turkey. Rohr will tour Turkey before the end of the year to check on Nigerian players plying their trade in the country and Sunday Mba is reportedly one of the players, he will meet while in Turkey. The manager will also made checks on Azubuike Okechukwu who is at the same club and other Nigerian players in the country with players like Godfrey Obaboana, Kenneth Otigba, Kenneth Omeruo, Raheem Lawal and Austin Amutu. Icon4s:Thanks for simple analysis.Honestly i don't understand all the fuss about Onazi should be dropped despite winning all our three matches under Rohr with Onazi playing important role in all those matches. If i may ask Onazi should be drop for who(Ndidi)thank God Rohr is d coach and he knows better than football pundits here who keep on hammering Onazi should be dropped without any meaningful justification but for their love for Ndidi. No doubts,Ndidi was delight to watch against Algeria just like Esiti against Zambia but d question is this are they better than Onazi when it comes to dirty work in d midfield. Despite Onazi knock against Algeria Rohr refused to remove him and this is to tell us he rate Onazi very high than some us do.Going to Onazi style of play,it may not be beautiful to watch but d guy is workaholic. The question we need to ask can Mikel and Ndidi combo gives us better result coz d two play similar pattern, though their combo w be beautiful to watch but what of d end result,to me we can't have two Mikel in d midfield,am stand to be corrected. 4 Likes |

terzurum5: The most dangerous player in the Super Eagles is Victor Moses and not Iheanacho or Iwobi. E don tey wey I know dis one but unfortunately(fortunately for us na) the Algerians focused on Iheanacho and Iwobi. Shehu Abdullahi should not be called to the National team again because he plays in an obscure league. He should be replaced with either Tyronne Ebuechi, Ola Aina or Brian Idowu. I hope our coach is not having any vendetta against Russians because of what dey did to Germany, because I never see am mention Russian league. |

Roma Nura Abdullahi Prime To Solve Super Eagles Right Back Crisis Following Return From Injury Highly rated Nigerian full back Nura Abdullahi could be the long term solution to the right back issues current bedeviling the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Nura, who is highly rated around the corridors of Italian side AC Roma has been plagued by two serious injury since joining the Serie A side on a permanent transfer from Spezia, after a fruitful loan spell alongside his child hood friend Sadiq Umar. However he has returned to full fitness and will officially mark his comeback with a game for the Primavera sie of the Rome based outfit, which could be the spring he needs to make a first team appearance for the team. Quick and strong in tackle, the 19 year old was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona before he suffered a minor cardia issue last year that required surgery. Pictures of his return to training was posted by the club on their website, a sign of how high the club rates the defender, who at a point in time was voted the best right teen back in Italy, while at Spezia. Coach of the Nigeria senior team Gernot Rohr is short of options at full back, particularly at right back, where he has used three different players in the three games he has handled Nigeria. Out of the three players, the coach has used only Musa Muhammed is a natural right back but his lack of game time at Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir, means the duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kenneth Omeruo have been deployed to his role despite their natural positions as central midfielder and defender. Next year?? When we shall be even scarier and better?? Okay naa.... ....................................................................... Cameroon Coach – Hard To Find Any Weakness In Super Eagles Now, Maybe Next Year Before We Play Them Coach of the Cameroonian national team Hugo Broos says he is happy his team won’t be playing Nigeria this year, due to the fact that the Super Eagles are on a high at the moment. Cameroon are in the same group with Nigeria, who are top of the group after two wins from the first two games of the group while Cameroon are yet to pick a win, with two draws from their opening ties. Nigeria are currently four points ahead of Cameroon but both teams won’t be meeting each other until August next year, and Broos said the timing couldn’t have been any better. ”They (Super Eagles) are on a high, hard to find any weakness in them at the moment, maybe we are lucky because we don’t play them until next year. Hopefully we would have build up confidence to explore any weakness”. He said. ”We will approach both ties against Nigeria with the seriousness it deserves, they are beatable no doubt, and after our not too impressive start, we need a very good result against Nigeria”.
