And the blame game is stepped up a bit higher.... Lol But come on you algerian FA guys, take it easy, Europe's deadliest forward was on the field naa... You expected them not to focus on him?? Looolll... Leekens and your journalists have explained that Nacho caused the mayhem with his movements despite his "Quiet Game".... So make una take am easy.... ....................................................................... Algerian Federation To Punish Two Players For Goals Scored By Chelsea Duo Mikel, Moses Esperance defender Hichem Belkaroui could miss the 2017 African Cup of Nations after his blunder allowed Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses to open the scoring in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier in Uyo. Le Buteur has reported that the Algerian Football Federation and the coaching staff are reviewing his case, and he has been named one of the scapegoats for the loss to Nigeria. It is being speculated that Belkaroui will only be among the substitutes in the event that he is called up to the Desert Foxes squad in future. Real Betis right wing-back Aïssa Mandi is also in danger of missing the African Cup of Nations after making two errors that led to the goals scored by Obi Mikel (42nd min) and Moses (90th min). However, his case is not as bad as Belkaroui because there is shortage of players in the right back position. Source: http://allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=21092 1 Like |

Well, I'm sure Rohr isnt buying Broos' statement at all. Prior to our game with Algeria, Leekens said we have a "world-class attack". Do you think Rohr bought into it? Rohr just stayed focused... Mind games aren't strange or odd to Rohr from what I've seen. blueto: 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: Why do you want me to help you explain simple thing? Why? Why? Do you think everyone can be fooled? He gave me an article to prove Dele Alli would not have wanted to play for Nigeria because the article dey talk about his recent relationship with his parent. But I say no, because before dis recent news, Dele Alli was very close to his biological dad in the past. In the PASS, he was proud of his parent. When in the past? Just this January 2016 when he was still a superstar. Abi you no read say em dash em mama money? Don't try to be mischievous, ok. I repeat, if we showed loved earlier, he would had loved to play for Nigeria. But una want am when he became superstar. NFF never approached. Did they? 1 Like |

The Evolution of the "Oyibo" Wall continues... #OyiboWallEvolution ....................................................................... “Oyibo Wall” – Detailed Approach Of How Rohr Fixed Up Super Eagles Defence Using Special Drills The defensive issues of the Super Eagles of Nigeria is slowly becoming a thing of the past as coach Gernot Rohr appears to be close to finding a permanent solution. Rohr has settled for the duo of William Troost Ekong and Leon Balogun as his preferred central defence partners but it was only arrived at after series of training drills. Balogun’s aerial abilities and calmness in playing out of the rear, is well complimented by the pace, power and tenacity of Ekong. The combination has earned them the nickname “Oyibo Wall”. Upon taking over the team as coach, he introduced special sessions for the team in training with emphasis on defending deep and in blocks. As well as drills on cutting out crosses and set pieces. The coach who was a defender in his days made Balogun, the leader of the Super Eagles defence and his abilities in dishing out commands to help the team maintain its defensive shape was well on display against Algeria. Still a work in process, the manager’s bext big task is to fix up the full back issues of the team, as he is currently having dearth of options in the left and right full back spots of the team. We reached out and he kept saying he wanted to play for England. Fashanu spoke about how he'd be a prince back in Nigeria and what not, it didn't work. Next you'll also say we didn't try hard for Ross Barkley as well because he said he was eligible to play for Nigeria and Scotland. 3 Likes |

edi287: I gave Dele Alli away at 13 to save him from gangs and allow him to follow his football dream EXCLUSIVE: Mother talks about the truth behind the England ace’s rise and her heartache at letting him go 10th January 2016, 12:01 am NOW ENGLAND star Dele Alli’s mum has spoken about the heartbreaking moment she gave her son away so he could fulfil his dream of becoming a top footballer. Denise Alli, 52, was battling against alcoholism and faced having her children removed by Social Services. So she handed Dele over to a couple who the footballer now calls his adoptive parents. Now mum-of-four Denise says every time she watches 19-year-old Spurs ace Dele scoring for his club and country, she knows she made the right decision. Fans have never before heard the truth about how Dele got to where he is today. Fighting back tears, Denise told The Sun on Sunday: “I had to let him go to give him a better future. “Emotionally, it was heartbreaking but it was the right thing to do. “I had a serious drink problem triggered by my unhappy childhood. “I was hooked on vodka, beer — anything — for a few years. “Social Services visited me after complaints from my neighbours about how I was raising my children but my kids were never taken away. Promise . . . future star with football trophies 5 “It was my decision to let Dele live with another family. “I knew that was the only way he could fulfil his dream of becoming a professional footballer. “It was tough to give up my son but it proved to be his salvation. I’m so thankful for how things have turned out.” Denise will be glued to the TV when Tottenham take on Leicester City at White Hart Lane in the third round of the FA Cup today. He signed for Spurs for £5million last February and got his first start for England in November when the Three Lions took on France. Dele was an immediate hit during the poignant game following the Paris terror attacks and scored from outside the box to break the deadlock at Wembley. England won 2-0. His mum said: “When he scored the goal against France I leapt out of my seat — I was so happy. “My son has made it by himself. I am so pleased for him and super-proud of everything he has achieved.” Commentators have been stunned by Dele’s rapid rise through the ranks and impressed by his composure on and off the pitch. Born sportsman . . . Dele (bottom centre) poses with medal in 2009 5 He is expected to be in the England squad for Euro 2016 this summer. Last week, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino talked about the player after his equaliser helped earn a 1-1 draw with Everton, saying he had “fantastic maturity”. Few expected Dele to make the first team when he started pre- season training with Spurs. But he wowed fans when he nut-megged Real Madrid star Luka Modric during a game in August and scored the equaliser against Leicester City two weeks into the season. It helped him become a first-team regular and Spurs are set to double Dele’s wages to £20,000 a week. That could rise to £50,000 or more by next season to ward off interest from Real Madrid and others. That makes the £5million Tottenham paid MK Dons — Dele’s boyhood club — the bargain of last season. He came through the ranks at MK Dons after joining aged 11 and before that played for local team City Colts. Dele, who also showed promise as a talented rugby player, was born Bamidele Jermaine Alli to Denise and Nigerian dad Kenny. They married at Bletchley Register Office in Bucks just before his birth in April 1996 but parted a week later. Businessman Kenny, 46, moved to Texas where he now lives with new wife Lola. Denise also raised son Lewis, 12, daughters Becky, 23, and Barbara, 26, who all stayed with her. She said: “Times were difficult — very tough. I had four children by four different dads but none of the relationships lasted. I was a single mum. We were living in Milton Keynes in a three-bedroom council house but it was a bit rough. “Me and Dele were always very close when he was younger. He was my little cling-on. He’d always say, ‘Kiss me’. He loved football and started kicking a ball around as soon as he could walk. My boy . . . mum Denise holds a picture of Dele aged four 5 “I could see he had talent and I would take him to the park as much as I could. “He always wanted to be a footballer since he was a little boy and dreamed of playing for Barcelona.” At the age of five, Dele spent six months living with his dad in Nigeria but the move did not work out and he returned to England. As he grew up, his mum’s problems started to multiply and at same time he began to get into trouble at school she was reported to Social Services. Denise said: “It was only one visit and Social Services were just doing their job. A handful of girls who had it in for me called the council — I don’t know why. I always looked after my children.” Yet by the time Dele was 13, Denise began to worry he was about to fall in with gangs that were plaguing the Bradwell area of Milton Keynes where they lived. She agreed he could move six miles away to live with close pal and fellow footballer Harry Hickford, now 20, and his parents, building company boss Alan and his wife Sally. While Denise insists he was never formally adopted, she let her son live full-time with the Hickfords and their two children in the more affluent area of Cosgrove. New family . . . the Spurs midfielder with adoptive dad Alan 5 Denise said: “All the kids Dele’s age were on the streets smoking, arguing and robbing. Some ended up in prison. I was worried my son would be tempted by that hood life. “He was challenging at times, like most lads. He had to change secondary school and never settled at his first school. “The Hickfords weren’t my friends but they had a nice home and I knew I had to give my son this chance to move on with his life and succeed. “When he left, there were no tears, just a sense of relief because I knew he would be off the streets and safe. “Dele told me, ‘I’m fine Mum. Don’t worry about me.’ He hugged me. “It was tough but he was happy and I was happy. “Despite giving him away I have never been estranged from Dele. “He would come back to my place for a sleepover about once every month. He is also close to his biological dad.. Kenny is so proud of him.” 5 Denise is no longer in contact with her son’s adoptive mum Sally and has yet to see him play in person. The midfielder’s adoptive dad Alan runs Dele Alli Promotions, so stands to make a fortune Denise admitted: “Perhaps deep down I felt some resentment towards Sally for bringing up my son. “I’m still close to Dele. He’s helped me and his sisters financially and has lots of love to give. He’s a great son. “He’s probably given us £4,000 over the past year or so. “I got £600 this Christmas and the three children £500 each. Last year he gave me £200, the girls £80 each and his brother a TV and Xbox. “He gave me £170 for Mother’s Day and helps me out with £50 here and there towards bills. I’d never ask him for a penny. He just offers to sort us out. “He never discusses his salary but I heard it was £25,000 a week. Good on him.” Speaking from his Houston home, Kenny said: “We have always had a good relationship and I’m his dad. “I saw Dele during my trip to England last year and we often text and chat on the phone. I’m very proud of my son.” Sally Hickford said last night: “We are so proud of Dele and want to let him enjoy his football. “Dele lived with our family but, no, we never formally adopted him. We want to keep everything private.” Hotshot to hero 2007 Joins the youth system at MK Dons aged 11 November 2012 Makes debut for MK Dons’ first team aged 16 February 2015 Signs for Spurs for £5m aged 19, loaned back to MK Dons for rest of season April 2015 Named Football League’s Young Player of the Year November 2015 Scores on full England debut https://www.thesun.co.uk/archives/news/80787/i-gave-dele-alli-away-at-13-to-save-him-from-gangs-and-allow-him-to-follow-his-football-dream/ @bolded needs some explanation. HOW EX-ENGLAND BOSS SVEN ERIKSSON SCOUTED AARON SAMUEL TO CHINA Aaron Samuel (left) We can reveal that Nigeria international Aaron Samuel was personally scouted by former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson to move to China from Norway. In 2014, Samuel moved from Norwegian club Sarpsborg 08 to Chinese club Guangzhou R&F. The player’s agent Atta Aneke gave a full insight to how the former Shooting Stars and Dolphins star moved to China. “Aaron was playing for Sarpsborg in Norway. I was trying to convince several clubs to sign him, but they were taking their time. And he really wanted to move, but at that time no club were willing to pay the asking price by Sarpsborg,” recounted Atta Aneke. “So, when a respected coach like Sven Goran Erikson came to Norway, watched him and then sat down with me and him and convinced us. He took that move. “He got another chance to return to Europe with CSKA Moscow. “Right now he is contemplating whether to rejoin CSKA later next year or stay at his club in China because he is actually quite happy in China. “Life is good there and it offers you financial stability.” Source: http://africanfootball.com//news/664267/How-ex-England-boss-Sven-Eriksson-scouted-Aaron-Samuel-to-China 2 Likes |

my thoughts on the match. the result didn't flatter us as we played a solid tactical game against a very good team filled with talented players. we showed strength and concentration during the moments we were under pressure from the algerians and made sure we took our chances when we were on top of them. players who stood out for me were etebo, moses, mikel, balogun and echeijile. etebo brought another side of his game that wowed me. his tireless running, aggression and level headedness really helped in winning the midfield battle against the algerians for most of the match. definitely a starter. the good thing about him is he can play a lot of positions. if we are going for a more attacking setup he can be pushed further forward but in my opinion his energy in the middle of the park is invaluable. moses finally showed what i've been expecting of him all this time. fast direct running that will always destabilize opponents forcing mistakes out of them while giving cover to his fullback. by far his best match in the green white green. to me this is victor moses at the near peak of his powers. hope moses simon was taking notes on the bench because that's the kind of wing play we want from him. mikel brought his A game. was unmovable in possession. also brought calmness and leadership especially when we were under algerian pressure. took his goal well. pity he gassed out and had to be subbed. real captain's performance. balogun was just imperious. his positioning was always spot on. strong in the tackle and decisive when it mattered most. loved how he took charge of the defence as that saw us through our tough moments. elderson too was good, chased mahrez away from his wing and joined attack as much as he could. was a perfect foil for the rampaging victor moses. now to the above average, poor performers. iheanacho's touches sometimes let him down but he worked hard for the team. was always available as an attacking outlet. for me it's too soon to say the top 9 role he was deployed in was a failed experiment. i agree he seems to flourish more in a ss role but this was his first match for the super eagles in that role. with more games and better understanding he could pull it of. onazi was more disciplined and he gave the ball away a lot less but his positioning is still a sour point with me. i remember one incident in the first half when brahimi got hold of the ball in the midfield onazi was caught out of position. before he could make up ground to catch him brahimi was already in our 18. thank God they didn't utilize that opportunity. for the algerians goal etebo chased down mahrez but onazi wasn't quick enough to offer support. by the time mahrez wriggled his way from etebo's attention onazi should have been closing him down but he allowed mahrez to easily find bentaleb who picked his spot without much hassle. onazi gave his best no question but is his best good enough? especially as we have other players now like ndidi, esiti etc who can play that role. i can understand rohr playing onazi for now because of his experience and years of partnership with mikel in the midfield but if he doesn't improve his positional marking then his place in the starting xi might be in jeopardy. ekong partnered balogun very well was a bit jittery in tense moments but was overall solid. iwobi not his best game by his high standard. like his uncle jayjay used to do he played to the gallery way too much. didn't provide cover for his fullback enough of the time. i guess his audacious rainbow flick kind of covered up his deficiencies. he can do better. omeruo started well but brahimi happened to him. struggled to keep up. the injury he sustained saved his blushes. akpeyi for an experienced goalkeeper it's annoying the kind of shaky and nervous performances he now churns out. i remember during one of the algerian attacking forays he was supposed to come out to punch the ball somehow he missed it and punched balogun instead. thankfully rohr has started looking for other alternatives because i seriously doubt he will start in goal for us again. ndidi came in and helped restore our midfield dominance. should be a starter in my opinion. shehu came and looked solid. musa's pace and directness really gingered our attack. going forward we expect rohr to find more options for the right and left fullback positions. hopefully musa mohammed gets a decent club so he can finally get some playing time and also tyronne commits to nigeria. success, osimhen, kayode etc to come in and challenge for that number 9 role. what really gladdens my heart is that we are not yet at full power and we are playing this kind of exhilarating football. this looks ominous for the rest of africa. also towards our next match against cameroon let's not get cocky. they are formidable opponents especially against us. they will be desperate to bring out anything within their arsenal to stop us both legal and illegal. let us all remain vigilant. happy rohr has told them the job is not done. let's continue to pray for the players to remain focused, calm and injury free. pray the rohr led technical crew remains united and controversy free so they can deliver the world cup ticket to russia 2018. #LETSGOSUPEREAGLES 4 Likes 1 Share |

Alli's link with Nigeria is through his father. If he does not have a good relationship with him, it was always unlikely for him to play for Nigeria. The fact that he cut relationship with his parents to the extent of removing his last name from his jersey shows the extent of his resentment. None of us know what he has been through. [b] EXCLUSIVE: CSKA Moscow Slap In Bid For Prolific Nigerian Forward Henry Onyekuru According to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com 19 year old Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru is a top target for Russian side CSKA Moscow. We gathered that the Russian side made a formal bid for his services at the start of the week, following glowing reports from their scouts. However the worth of the bid is yet unknown but the forward who was a subject of a bid from German side Hoffeinheim in the summer is reportedly valued at slightly above 5 million Euros. The 19 year old who plays in Belgium for KAS Eupen operates from the flanks or as a centre forward, and has six goals from the first 14 games of the season, with four assists to his name.
