Hi mums, I am currently pregnant and live in lagos.

Can anyone pls recommend good hospitals to give birth in lagos?
I'm not a first timer but my first experience in a supposedly 'good n expensive ' hospital in Ikeja is not an experience I want to repeat.

I was given very extensive medio- lateral episiotomy that didnt heal for 5 months!!!!

There was practically no after birth care for the mums, I was discharged without being checked and I began to haemorrhage heavily. All they cared about was money.

Please help a sister out with the name of a good hospital with good patient care services.

Lol@ dull. I think we would wake up more as the pregnancy progresses. I'm always losing count of how many weeks I am, what is TT injection biko. Wow first baby kick. My husband has been harassing me with 'Has it kicked yet' question everyday, sometimes he pretends the baby kicked him, lol, wishes. TT for tetanus toxoid,its vaccine given to pregnant women to prevent neonatal tetanus in newborns, you are to get your ist dose at 16wks,2nd 20 wks,3rd n 4th .ask your gynae.
I'm 17wks and still battling serious ms added to it is my 14mth old who has decided that there's no better way to exercise than climbing my stomach.right now he'sitting on my head while headache is on ,husby has been the one doing the house chores.it'll end in praise afterall

You take the first dose TT (Tt 1)when you feel quickening/baby kick but mostly from 18weeks;
TT 2 four weeks after TT 1;
TT 3 six months after TT 2;
TT 4 one year after TT 3;
TT 5 one year after TT 4.
Even if you get pregnant again during the course of taking TT you will just continue and not start al over provided you follow your schedule, the last one will protect you for a lifetime.
Pls try to go register for you antenatal too, take care dear

Abeg o, my mil told Dh to get me a drug called sorbozam (sorbbozim, sorbitol powDer) she says it's prevent jaundice n if I take it while preggy baby won't av it,sh says my junior wife used it w w was preggy, dh than find am tire, finally he bought it yesternite n I googled about it n found out its used wen u av constipation n it's a laxative, pls as any1 heard about this b4?

2ndly we re 33wks n half, glory to GoD but av been having this pain, my tummy will just get tight n big or divide into two sometimes, it's soo painful, sometimes I av this mild cramp n then pain at my lw abdm pls is that braxton hicks or sometin else, told my midwife she is saying th fluid . Much n baby is turning anyaw, am soo not buying that.. abeg pls make u put mouth o, my waist wan fall o..

Olababymee, that's where i had my son, don't know what you mean by equipped but was attended to by a very professional gynae all thru, and D midwives were top notch, very friendly environment, maybe its my person sha cos am quite lively, but all things been equal God willing, baby no 2 would be delivered there.
You can go and make enquires sha, was a colleague that recommended D place.

I don't really know when best to register for antenatal but I do register as soon as I confirm am pregnant for proper monitoring and checkups, I don't delay. Although I use a private hospital which do advice you register as early as possible.I registered at 6weeks.

Evening my dear teamies, hw una dey? For me, am not fyn o, this week has been crazy am currently in serious pain ryt now. Week 31, and just wen i started jubilating unto say remaining 8 weeks or more to go heat no gree me sleep, decided 2 hit d floor. As i woke up, gosh! see one excruciating pain on d ryt side of my belly button internally o. I tot it wud soon go away after taking para but it has lasted more dan i tot n lo keeps bouncing up and down on something there that sends me reeling in pain everytime, well sorry 4 d long story, i will see my gynae sha come friday as my anc is now fortnightly.

Una don wash and press baby's clothes? tried it and mehn i culdnt believe how tired i got after washing those tiny things wit severe leg cramp n backache. Unbelievable how one can be so used 2 washing d big things and 4get how equally as breathtaking these little ones can be. Maybe its just preggy tiredness

TT3 is six months after TT2....usually around 8weeks after delivery

@sixx, me I'm not done with my shopping o. Infact I have not even started. I have only shopped for some clothes, socks and caps. and only two items in the hospital list, I am juxt tired o. My due date is knocking on the door, hubby has not dropped money yet, the economic situation chaii.

No p,my 16wk was actually my ist visit and there I was told I was due for my TT injection and preventive malaria medicine.being a first timer,you shld make your 1St visit at 12 wks(most hospitals recommend that).

Cappo sixx, sorry for the pains you are experiencing. Just hang in there until you see your doc on Friday since you have tried pcm. Friday is almost here.
Congratulations to florena, ojac01, Bolseas and other new mothers. May the Lord preserve you and your babies.
I am in my 33rd week and the Lord has been my strenght. I have never been this busy at work and God's grace have never failed me.

I always experience locking on my left leg which i have decided to ignore despite preggy massage and pain relief medications.
Everything else has been wonderful. My ANC visit is now fortnightly too.


I have started shopping for baby but haven't gone far at all. I have for baby wardrobe, baby bed and car seat. Wil make sure at least every week, i make reasonable progress in buying items as it looks like i am starting all over again. Had my last baby 5 years ago and i don't have any hands down . No elaborate shopping sha as this is my last, then boot hanging things by God's grace.

Libido has found its way to the atlantic ocean and i don't mind suggestions please on how to recover it at least. This pregnancy is so different from the others and unique in its own way.
The kicks from baby are now simultaneously felt around the jajaina and my ribs and it looks cramped in there already. Most times , i have to adjust to a suitable position.



Team January for supernatural delivery. I wish us God's grace in this last lap . Joyful mothers and healthy babies with rejoicing fathers in Jesus name. Amen.
