Not believing in God doesn't mean he shld change his name. It makes no sense.

He has been using it for identity purpose not religious purpose.

And pls there is nothing special abt seun being an atheist. Leave him alone and enjoy the nairaland he has given you.

I think you need to understand the Heathen-to-Christian name logic I applied , it should help answer your question . And I think it makes no sense bickering over changing it or not .

Hmmm

"Given Name OLUWASEUN. GENDER: Masculine & Feminine. USAGE: Western African, Yoruba. Means "we thank God" in Yoruba."

"Osewa ni narimasu" contains various meaning. eg, when you ask someone to do something for you, say "Osewa ni narimasu", in this case "thanks for doing it"

2.How many pastors answer the name "Theophilus"?

3.How many pastors in Nigeria have the prefix "OGUN", in their surname?

4.Why didn't the pastors in Nigeria who are Yoruba, and the first 2 letters in their surname is "FA", change their names?

Aunty Oluwaseun is not a christian name, it's yoruba name rooted in the yoruba tradition and lingual heritage has nothing to do with Christ.

and yes there iz always something special abt him bieng an atheist even if bill gates is d owner of d blog i will still persuade him to change iz religion or belief.Y?bcoz i am a christian and we are meant to spread d word nt to keep quiet while pple are followin d wrong part
