Self or not, she has been involved in kidnapping. She should be investigated thoroughly and arraigned for trial accordingly. The state should ensure diligent prosecution.

The command paraded a female student of Imo State University for allegedly arranging her kidnap, to extort money from her family.

The suspect, who gave her name to the police as Chinwendu Udensi, however, told reporters that she is Miss Jennet Okoro . She said she is from Imo State

The police commissioner said Miss Udensi plotted her kidnap and demanded N6 million ransom from her parents.

He said she was, however, exposed when she sent one of her accomplices to pick the ransom on Obiri Ikerre flyover at Obio/Akpor.

Also paraded was the suspected killer of a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Port Harcourt.

The suspect, Jon Ihejekwu, a dealer in Almaco doors and windows, said his gang killed the police officer for attempting to prevent them from escaping with a stolen vehicle.

The police boss said 25 suspected kidnappers have been arraigned.

by the way, l think we should enshrine the DEATH PENALTY for Kidnapping, into our constitution because it appears every greedy thief is trying to use it to raise money while causing hardship on innocent victims and their loved ones.

I remember in the year 2009 when ozioma who was 18 then arranged her own kidnap with her boyfriend from akwa ibom who was a final year student of futo, the ransomed was paid but the kidnappers refused to share with them, instead ozioma was re kidnapped and brutally raped in the presence of boyfriend. They were all arrested and her reason for it was that her father was stingy to her mum and the children. Ozioma, her boyfriend and the gangs are still serving their sentence at okigwe prison.

Kidnappers of nowadays no get sense, why are they always been caught, If u want to make call, do it with her phone no, if u want to negotiate, enter a market, put an earpiece and call the father, they can't track and catch u in a big market, tell them to pay in the money into the girls account, then use two weeks to withdraw the money, 150k every day, don't release her till you have withdrawn every penny, go from state to state to use ATMs so as to confuse them, if they block the ATM, threaten them and tell them u will kill the girl and they will unblock it, only a foolish kidnapper will tell u to drop off money at a junction, he must be caught, use your senses.
