TheGoodJoe: Forget quality, The bench was terrible... Onazi came off and we collapsed... Reuben Gabriel was not prepared for a game of that intensity. Fegor Ogude would have done a better job. Let us not forget the sham of taking Gambo Muhammad to the confederations cup. He did ok but there were some bad errors.. 1 Like |

tbaba1234: We should not forget Gambo but forget Keshi's team performing well against the Euro Champions and Keshi's resurgence of Mikel. Count your blessings. We did not have top quality talents but you guys wanted top class bench. 1 Like 1 Share |

TheSuperNerd: Fact is that, there were challenges we faced. Not having much time but I will give you a scenario. When it was time to bring in Azeez, I screamed. Keshi should not bring Azeez in, They will KILL him. Not long, Mikel looked towards the bench and screamed at Keshi that he should not bring in Azeez. That was when Keshi opted to send in Reuben. Sometimes, a coach makes choices of players for tactical variations. When Reuben started, he did not get up to speed with he game. Towards the end of the game, he stopped two dangerous attacks with brilliant tackles. Unfortunately, moments like that do not stick to people but the early weaknesses. |

Oga Terzurum5... This is not me being modest but being honest... It's thanks to you guys. You guys started it on NL, the likes of Jospeh1013, Orkpekyandega and You too and ofcourse the likes CFCman in women's soccer...... Me? I just picked up. Wasnt it just last year I joined? Oh yes.. It was, in May. I Love the great potentials Nigerian football have commanded over the years and will still command going forward...... NL Sports is one of the most visited sports sites (if not the no.1) on the web as regards Nigerian football at all levels. You all rock! So It's you that must be commended not me... NL gave me a chance to mingle with great minds like Sir TheGoodJoe (my finest and most favorite analyst on NL), Madam (Miss) Safarigirl (the most witty one I know on NL sports.. When I came newly, she was "lord" of the epistles... Looll), Sir Joseph1013 (his threads always make sense... Love his passion for our national teams), Sir Icon4s (His Experience too much), Sir BascoVanVeli (very smart and loves to play the devil's advocate sometimes.. Looll), Sirs AIG07 & Mikron (Twin Eagles fans... Looll), Madam Confun (always observing, rarely commenting, and never misses a page... Loollll), Sir Tbaba1234 (the legendary one), Sirs Blackalbino06, Terzurum5, Orkpekyandega and even Justiz5 (all are Super OPs who bring out time outta their busy schedule to keep us all updated... I learnt from their works) and all others I just cant mention for time's sake...... (Unless una no want make I finish this post)... So plsss... I havent forgotten how I walked in here on May 23rd into the 2015 U-20 WC thread for New Zealand 2015..... The names mentioned are the ones I have grown to know and super-appreciate since May/June 2015..... All others not mentioned plsss... U all rock too... So plsss... Shall we move on now? We got a new super golden generation to keep building strong.... terzurum5: 2 Likes |

tbaba1234: But, the blessing was, we gave the best team in the World, the European Champions a fight. One of the best displays of the competition. We can not overwrite that with no quality replacements. We did not have talents in quality European clubs. The Oliseh that criticised repeatedly came in and started calling players that were not in top clubs. Keshi achieved under very challenging situations. |

TheGoodJoe: When I first saw Azeez warming up to replace Onazi, I was at peace but suddenly I saw Gabriel came in for him. As I saw dat I no put all my mind for the game again else I develop heart attack. Mikel though Azeez was not good enough, right. So, what was the outcome of the one he preferred. Abi em think say to play for La Liga for 2 good years na beans? What a great error. Mikel didn't want to seat at the front of the back four. Humm! I see. 1 Like |

forgiveness: "Priviledged to be there to shine". Mind u he was team captain before Mikel's inclusion. Azubuike may jst b out of the national team now bc of the abundance of DMF options. When you have players like Onazi, Mikel and Ndidi. Remember also that Shehu Abdullahi is a DMF. I wanted him to be at the next U20 WC. His game level is way above his age. People often forget he is just 19. 2 Likes 1 Share |
