TheGoodJoe: Tactically very sound indeed! What was the outcome of the match? France took over the midfield and dominated the game throughout without any impact from Gabriel. Keshi still had the chance to redeem himself by bringing in another midfielder but he sat helplessly until the end. What a tactical coach. You mean referee wasn't given free kicks? |

forgiveness: France had a tactically sound coach, with a team of Top Class professionals. You want people to believe Keshi was not tactically sound when Deschamps and his top class professionals resorted to dirty tactics to win. |

TheGoodJoe: Stop arguing with Keshi's haters sir, they will never see anything good in the man even after death. Until another coach be it foreign or local takes Nigeria to the quarter-finals of the world cup, keshi remains Nigeria's best coach. The present coach we are all celebrating today can still blow our world cup dreams away. Its only two matches he has played so far. |

forgiveness: Idowu plays Right-Back, Right Midfield and Left Midfield. But he can't play DMF. See attached image. So he can't replace Shehu directly. Tiago Ilori plays only Centre-back. See attached image. He doesn't play RB and DMF. Even if he can play, Ilori has not played a single match since September 2015. Try again. 3 Likes

TheGoodJoe: That is why Keshi only saw the dirty play but he never realized it was a tactic. *who get muscle for bench? Na Gabriel * In such situation, a coach will advise his players to dive at slightest touch, why? To attract cards and once a player is on Yellow card, he will certainly play with precautions. It is Psychological thing and also part of tactics. Guardiola taught Barcelona players dat trick. 1 Like |

joseph1013: From the images below,Idowu played as a CB and and a defensive midfielder. Believe me, Tiago Ilori can too. He has played there before. Maybe they are using current matches. If you check Ndidi, it shows he plays as a RB but we know the truth.

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 12:04pm On Nov 18, 2016 |
forgiveness: Absurd point. The logic is simple. If Keshi was not good tactically as you tried to make it, a top quality coach and players will not need to cheat to win. It was not just the French team that was unfair. The referee was. There was no way Matuidi should have stayed on the field. A Team can dive and feign tricks if the referee is on their side or at least fair. It is a disaster feigning tricks if the referee is against you. 1 Like |

Hmmm... Sebastian Osigwe... David Nwokolor... Dele Alampasu... Emmanuel Daniel.... I see some hot competition brewing in the near future if all goes well.... Ikeme is undisputed no.1. ....................................................................... EXCLUSIVE: Rohr Hand Call Up To Swiss Born Nigerian Goalkepper Osigwe To Ease Super Eagles Goalkeeper Crisis The mini goalkepper crisis that rocked Nigeria before their World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Algeria, has pushed coach Gernot Rohr to hasten his plans for Swiss-born Nigerian goalkeeper Sebastian Osigwe. Rohr was forced to hand a late call up to Daniel Akpeyi following injury to regular first choice goalkeeper Carl Ikeme which forced him to withdraw from the Algeria tie. Akpeyi ended up between the sticks for Nigeria as they ran out 3-1 winners over Algeria. However Rohr wants options particularly from young goalkeepers and Osigwe who trained with the Nigeria U-20 in 2013 under coach John Obuh, is high on the manager’s radar. 22 year old Osigwe is first choice goalkeeper for German third division side SC Kriens who are currently in contention to gain promotion to the second division. He represented Switzerland at various youth level but switched allegiance to Nigeria, the country where his father hails from and was close to making the Nigeria’s squad to the 2013 U-20 World Youth Championship in Colombia. Already he has concluded plans to call him up for one of the friendly games of the Super Eagles next year, probably the games against Egypt or Senegal. Well, if we cap him before South Korea 2017, he may not rep. England at the U-20 WC, or he could still rep. England and still play for us at senior level... BUTTTT if he shines so bright at Korea 2017... England WONT let go of Ejaria unless some "magic" happens. What a plot being formed... ....................................................................... NFF President Claims Liverpool Wonderkid Ovie Ejaria Will Play For Nigeria NOT England The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has claimed Liverpool new kid on the block Ovie Ejaria will commit his international future at senior level to Nigeria rather than the Three Lions. The former Arsenal talent, who was born in London to Nigerian parents, initially chose to represent Nigeria and flirted with the Golden Eaglets squad in 2013, but has now made a U- Turn regarding his international allegiance. Barring injury to Ejaria, the central midfielder is expected to make England’s U20s squad to the 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup, and the Nigerian Federation will have to provide documentation to Fifa before he can play for the Super Eagles. Responding to a question from Olugbenga Adu on Twitter, Pinnick stated : “He (Ejaria) will play for Nigeria eventually. I am in touch with the dad.” Aged 19, Ejaria is on the fringes of Liverpool’s first team, having made the 18-man squad for competitive fixtures four times this season. The Skills-bender, Alexander "The Great" Iwobi Speaks....... ....................................................................... I PLAY EVERY GAME LIKE IT’S MY LAST, SAYS ARSENAL'S IWOBI The Nigeria international shared the secret of what has kept him going in the star studded Gunners squad Alex Iwobi has revealed how he has been able to sustain his place in the Arsenal team despite intense competition. The 20-year-old broke into Arsene Wenger’s side last season, and has since gone on to become an integral part of the north London side this season, featuring in nine of the team's 11 English Premier League games. The Nigeria international said he understands the sort of commitment he has to put into his game in order to keep getting into the manager’s plan, especially in a team with good amount of world class players. "Honestly I didn't expect to be where I am today," Iwobi told Arsenal Player. "I thought a long time ago that I'd be on loan and probably get experience there before having experience in the first team, but the fact that the boss trusted me to jump into the first team as quick as I did, I'm just grateful for it. "The same way I was able to break into it is the same way that I take the chance now. "I play like it's almost like my last game, I treat it like it's my last moment here, so I do my best and I always put 100 per cent into whatever I do." "If you don't do as well as you think you could've done, there's other players, other international, great players, that can just step in," he continued. "So you just have to take the chance all the time and do your best when the time comes. "The big thing is you need to stay fit and always need to give it your all. I mean, you've got to have the right attitude, you've got to be mentally prepared for whatever happens. "Not everything is going to be smooth sailing for you so you've got to be prepared for all conditions."
