They are not small pockets, they are entire districts with stable electricity.

NairobiWalker:

So you are bragging of small pockets of good power supply? Dude, in Kenya even the remotest villages have a continuous power supply.

I hate debating will with empty heads, kenya do all this and still a third world country ?. Then what and what will your country have again to be a develop country. My friend listren only population of pupils Lagos state and Imo state give free education are more than what your entire country have, not to talk about 10 to 15 states that give free education from primary to secondary schools in Nigeria, kenya with less than 2000mw of electricity have average power while Nigeria have more than 5000mw. come to your university education i don't think that what fed universities pay in nigeria is fees because here some schools pay less than 30,000 naira and that less than 100$ a semester. so kindly lets know how much they pay in your university before giving them loan.as for other things you wrote up there i know you're making yourself feel better.

1. Nigeria has a 5000MW capacity but produces less than 4000MW

2. KENYA'S 2000MW is enough for our little population. the more we grow the more it grows. Remember to be on our level you must produce 4 times more than us since you're 4 times more than us.

3. Talk of percentage of people in university and not absolute numbers. Remember you also have more kids in primary school than England. Does that mean your education is more developed than England's?

facts don't lie.
you guys are talking about we importing refined fuel, for your information dangote is building one of the biggest refinery in the world (not just Africa).
that refinery will pave way for other good things to come and also as we speak now light is been transferred from bonny to Lagos and soon Lagos will start having 24 hours light.
also Atiku company is building one of the biggest seaport Lagos that will pave way for other good things, so you see my friend Don't compare Nigeria with common Kenya compare south Africa okay.

Nigeria should be compared with SA? lol.....Let me ask you - can you in your right mind compare a place like Durban to Ibadan?

Hmmmm
Lemme split it fr you

Nigeria is now in recession, price are now doubled
State governments are owing workers their salaries
University are one strike due to not paying them their salaries
Megawatts produced are now reduce to 4000 from 5000
Oil price have increased by somewhat 70℅ .....what more could I add o...poverty is on the rise ....all these aforementioned are most of the problems Nigeria are now facing plus vandalization of pipelines

Buh what....even with all that you still stand no chance...a cheetah is still no battle to a wounded lion

We might be facing our worst time...the rich taking most of our GDP....buh never for once are we in the same league as Kenya...a lone wolf is no Match for an ordinary cougar not to take of a tiger...we have developed way faster and better than you jez besting us ten years to this time...for Leicester to be better than Manchester she still has a long way to go and she is just beginning

All those stats of your are nothing
Check the stats of China to Singapore, tauwan, south Korea buh none of those countries have reached where China has...

So you gat it..we are corrupted, pooe to your own mind buh you are still way beneath us...bye

And about all those free free stuff...I schooled at a public school where all I paid was money for desk and chair which I only paid once during the jss...while my sss was totally free plus free tablets and free waec for over 10000 students in osun state alone...so tell me...the primary school is free also..even eaten free foods...so whayasay..gerrarahere niggas

Adding to that is that most federal universities in Nigeria are paying less than 100$ tuition fee
We even best y'all schools in terms of education...how much are they paying at Nairobi, kenyatta, moi universities
And it's not like you schools are beter

University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University have consistently ranked ahead of Nigeria's best university in terms of quality and we have more universities in Africa's top 100 best universities. Please, go back to GDP size and number of billionaires bullshit but when the word QUALITY is mentioned ANYWHERE Nigeria has nothing on Kenya.

You know of Nigerians that are barely making five dollars but clearly forget the Nigerian that is the richest black man ? Does creating the richest black man in our Nigerian environment not give credence to the giant tag ??....Nigerians should covertly announce that because of what ??

What is the point of have the richest man when most are suffering? Botswana has no billionaire but enjoys the highest living standards on mainland Africa.

Nigerians associated with music and theater is disproportionately high ? Is that why your people were protesting in Kenya? It is this abysmal display of irrationality that has been the hallmark of submissions from your kind. And probably you have no idea of the contribution of entertainment to America's GDP and even Nigeria's. And you have no idea of cultural projection in International diplomacy. You talk in a bid to shame Nigeria but you got no idea how just puerile your infantile talk is.

Music and theater are important but there are many other important things in diplomacy that those you mention are child play. Look - Kenya is nowhere close to Nigeria in terms of music and theater yet Nairobi is much more important to the world than any nigerian city. Nairobi is the only city in the developing world with a UN arm headquarters. It is the headquarters of more multinational corporations than the West African region combined. See how important music is to diplomacy?

Nairobi has a UN arm HQ because it is surrounded by so much poverty and desperation. The central institutions are weak and open and negative foreign influence unlike Nigeria where people go hustle for their food, clothing and shelter instead of waiting on aid from foreign powers.

Let me educate you a bit. In Nigeria you have Federal, State and Private unis. Any where you see "University of ***" or "Federal Uni of ***", the uni is federally owned. So you see your list makes no sense.

You want to compare the richest region in Nigeria to the whole of Kenya? What are you high on? How about you compare Nakuru county to the whole of Nigeria?

First of all, you cannot rely on these stats for your argument. Not everyone in those professions receive that exact amount, earnings vary with regards to experience and other factors.

Second, my premise is based on the fact that Nigeria's elite DO NOT live in Kenya the way South Sudanese, Somali upper class do. Nairobi is not appealing to their taste but it does appeal to the taste of our middle class who happen to be able to afford apartments in South B, Dunholm, Buru-buru and South C to say the least.

.......and so according to you Kenya's rich live in South B and Donholm? Dude get off whatever you're smoking.

I'm from Nigeria's lower middle class. I can afford travel to Kenya, SA and even Dubai like most lower middle class Nigerians. I stay at Valley Arcade Lavington whenever am in Nairobi so what exactly are you on about?

The areas mentioned in Nairobi are very well affordable for the average frugal Nigerian.

The 'normal' Nigerian lives in those rusty roofs in Ibadan. You claim you're worse than the normal Nigerian - meaning you live in something worse than those rusty roofs - Please try another one, no way someone living in those rusty roofs can afford valley arcade leave alone someone living in something worse. You keep saying how lower middle class in Nigeria are better than Kenya's upper middle class - please show me where they live. Kenya's lower middle class live in places like Buru Buru, Donholm and Madaraka. Show me where Nigerian lower middle class lives.

Quite impressive but believe me Nigeria, three cities in the South is building these. Lagos, Port Harcourt and Calabar.

Believe me, I only know about Nairobi as a standard city but I don't know if Kenya has better cities. I wish to know if they really have good cities with modern infrastructures.

In the Southern Nigeria, we have very good cities with modern infrastructures but..... Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Ibadan and Enugu.

Go through the thread and see how Nakuru gave Ibadan a beating.

Nairobi is the Capital and it seems everything only revolve around it but that can't be said of Nigerian cities.

We have about 5 - 10 international cities. The 5 are springing up with real estate developments. Can dat be said of Kenya cities?

Please go through the thread and see the beating Nakuru (fourth largest in Kenya) gave Ibadan (your second or third biggest)

Nigeria has it challenges but his human resources can not be overlooked.

Kenya is good but is it better than Nigeria in terms of infrastructures provided across the country?

I know about Nairobi but I know nothing about Mombasa and the rest.

If you don't hear Lagos, you hear Abuja, Port Harcourt, Calabar Kaduna, Ibadan, Enugu etc. These are big cities with infrastructures.

But....

Hearing about a place doesn't make it better. We all hear of Syria but very few people know Luxembourg, does that mean Syria is better than Luxembourg? Stop talking of hearing and go through the photos posted on this thread then go to Skyscrapercity and see for yourself or better yet travel to Kenya and see for yourself.

Well, I am curious to know more about Kenya hence the need to answer your question.

1, 4 international airport (Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano)

2, Over hundred Universities (apart from Polytechnics and colleges)

3, Nigeria railway system is 3,505 kilometers

4, Nigeria is constructing standard gauge from Lagos to Kano(approximately 1,000 kilometers) and Lagos to Cross River. The Abuja to Kaduna has been completed and it is currently operating with the length of 186 kilometers, Lagos - Ibadan with 185 kilometers will be completed in 2018.

5, Cities runs Mono rails ; Lagos - 27.5 kilometers, Port Harcourt (under construction) and Calabar (completed)

6, one of the Longest bridge in Africa.

7, Lagos has more Highrise than Nairobi. Nigeria has more cities with Highrise than Kenya.

I may be wrong but I want to know more.

Actually Nairobi has more high-rises than Lagos - FYI the tallest building under construction in Africa is in Nairobi.
