SailorXY:Rashford to start ahead of Martial, Valencia is fit again so Darmian drops. You don't want Darmian getting the dong from Sanchez... |

SailorXY: Mou's mouth has ensured he has a frosty relationship with as many people as possible. It will do him well to limit the the talking n b laconic with the media. You know those guys are always looking for sensational stories. |

Leyqute:which he's well known for, he has been successfully doing it dis way, i see no reason changing it just to please some random people. |

Spy360:Darmian isn't that good against tricky wingers but in the game you are referring to, he was left far too exposed by the immobility of a Carrick & Bastian pivot. I remember men pointed out the obvious here once that line up was released & it turned out a disaster. Sanchez tho was kept in Varela's back pocket for the return & he was easily the flop of the match Rashford will not start ahead of Martial except he's the CF, @ least that's the right setting. |

weedtaker: He'd subtly quit the act if he wants to stay successful for long. You don't remain successful by deliberately making enemies. |

Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Spy360(m): 10:00am On Nov 19, 2016 |
SailorXY:Then Sanchez was playing on the RW. Sanchez made runs in between Darmian and the CB. The problem was that Darmian couldn't cope with the speed. Where the midfielders were at fault was that they failed to track those runs from midfield, leaving Darmian helpless against a marauding Sanchez. Carrick still made your team sheet, that's the point. |

"I think there will be a quick start from both teams - and it’s up to us to ensure that we start quicker than them. "We did that at Swansea and we got three early goals. Those goals settled us down, so it would be nice to have that against Arsenal. But if we don’t, we need to be composed on the ball and not panic as we look to open them up. "We know we can move to within three points of Arsenal with a win, which is an incentive, but we don’t get too distracted by things like that. "We'd much rather focus on each game individually and not pay too much attention to the teams around us in the table – we'll concentrate on our own game. "We had a really young team out that day with myself, Marcus, Memphis and Guillermo (Varela) all starting. "It was mixed with experience though, which proved a good blend. We took the game to Arsenal on that occasion and we'll be doing that again this time." - Jese Lingard |

"I always think the end of December is a good moment to look and see where you are, to see the differences to the top and bottom of the league, to see the perspective for the second half of the season. "We are in mid-November but we know Arsenal have six points more than us. We know the distance tomorrow can be three, six or nine and obviously nine would be bad, and three would be perfect. Old Trafford will be full of emotion as always, so expectations are high for a big game. "Every match is an isolated event – it has nothing to do with now. Mr Wenger was a different manager in 2004 to now; I was a different manager to now. The teams are completely different; he and I don’t have one single player from that time – most of them are retired. "So now it’s just a big game between two of the best teams in the country. Rivalry is not just historical – it’s about rivals for titles, and for a decade it was just between United and Arsenal. United were dominant but Arsenal had a period when they won titles, where they were unbeatable and so on. "Everything was bigger in that period and it has kept on for the last 15 or 20 years. I think everybody likes that. The players are professional and know how to behave, so I don’t think that’s a problem. I think the rivalry can only affect the game in a positive way. "Feyenoord is crucial – we cannot lose the match or we are out of the Europa League. West Ham is crucial because if we win, we are in the semi-finals and if we lose, we are out. And in between, we have Arsenal and West Ham in the Premier League, two good teams. "These are big matches and, honestly, in spite of being very unlucky at home – because I don’t remember being as unlucky as we were against Stoke and Burnley – I love to play at Old Trafford. "I love the passion and the support of the people. So with four matches at home, we must feel at home and we’ll go at them and try to win the matches." - Jose Mourinho |

"We've had many good games with them over the years, with some ups and downs, but it’s always one we look forward to. "Arsenal have always had teams that play such good football and they’re the type of team that you can never switch off against. It’s that style of play they have, of playing in and around the box, and they’re very good with their short passing. They can be very dangerous at any given time. "Generally the matches between us have always been really good games of football. Hard-fought but honest games and the respect is there between the two clubs and the two teams. "This is a massive time to get some momentum because it rolls on from week to week with no breaks now. The double-header internationals made the season a bit stop-start, but now is the time to really kick on. Momentum is the key word at this stage, up to Christmas and through that period." - Michael Carrick |
