IT IS JACK OF ALL, MASTER OF MANY. NO SINGLE SOURCE OF INCOME CAN MAKE YOU REALLY WEALTHY AS YOU SO DESIRE.

IT CAN MAKE YOU COMFORTABLE BUT NOT SUPER RICH.

YOU NEED TO HAVE SEVERAL SOURCES OF INCOME AND INVESTMENTS.

The axiom remains as potent as the ecstasy of hard drugs remains. On the other hand, the word ALL still remain different from the word SOME. So, for some of you that claims to be master's in more than one thing, that doesn't nullify the potency of the axiom. . . . at best of you a master of some trade.

A typical example of a jack of all trade master of none is a conceited person who thinks that he's smart. As you may know, a conceited person is always quick to initiate battle of wits, but in the end he will always lose to a true smart person.

Information isn't knowledge, just as conceitedness isn't smartness.

Another example, look at that your sibling/ friend/ acquaintance that has no job, cannot pay his bills or assume responsibility of his life, but he is very good in chastising every other persons that are more successful than him in all ramifications. In his illusory intelligence he knows all the road that can leads to success; he knows how every rich person made his money, he mocks the hard and honest working people that are not fortunate to accumulate big riches.

Bring up discussion about any profession or thing he will take a lead in such discussion - he's so good with information that he forgot to acquire knowledge in anything. People of this infamous non portfolio job always make good critiques. The sad thing though is that no one has ever earned a living by been a critique.

Information remains useless to one who has it until it's turned to knowledge. Because people aren't paid for what they claim to know, instead they are paid for what they do with that they claim to know.

An example is leonardo da Vinci who was not only famous for his painting skills but excelled as an anatomist and astronomer.

Gone were those days o bro. Today every field has advanced and diversified to the effect that its even impossible for a man to master a single field. That's why people specialise. You won't believe bloggers also have specialties. Lol. Can you imagine that ?

Some ppl are just exceptionally creative and gifted and they are good in Every thing they do.

So that saying is not correct.

There are some jack of all trades and masters of all

Example is Carl Lewis He got gold in sprint, high jump, long jump and I shure apart from sport he must be in other professions.

I think it's one if those schemes society throws at us to box us into a corner. In the renaissance period, people were skilled in many areas. Da vinci, Micheal Angelo et al where versatile. Even our forefathers were skilled in many areas. But with the advent of industrialization and it's emphasis on specialization, we are now been told to ficus in one aspect of life, which I strongly disagree to. Infact I believe specialization just makes one mire dependent. So I believe you can be jack of all trades and a master of many.

I believe in Jack of all Trade' I don't believe in 'Master of None ' Theory.

You don't expect me to limit myself to one thing when I also have passion for other things.

Me for example I can D.j, I can make Hip Hop beats, I can design Graphics I can Photoshop. I can also break dance.

There's no limit to what u can do.

well.. I draw well, sing well, play the drum set well,,think out of the box, I carve well, .... I started all with no training.

I also know how to do stuffs without even trying to.

I take my time to build on my many talents tho

Jack of all trade could be master of integration. Someone mentioned polymath but I'm surprised no one mentioned the master of integration.
Another word is Generalist, where the word military "General" comes from.

Believe me, it somewhat impossible, the likes of Leonardo Da Vinci (a super genius) existed when each field was still narrow now even the smallest field has books that can fill a large room, except you want to take the word "master" as figurative.

You will discover that an intelligent person will find it easy to pick up new things and may excel at multiple fields. The factor that then determines whether or not you (being intelligent) excel at any given pursuit is whether or not you have the required passion for that particular field.
