Our Gripen uses LinkZA, also the HMD and HMI of our Gripen is locally developed.

I really don't get what the problem is with these South Africans, if they are not discussing off topic crap about their country then they are talking down on other African countries. Just to show you that Swedish grippen , is not as Swedish as you might think, there are not even 20% or 30% Swedish component on it, and in all the planes of the world you will find component from other countries to decrease production costs, , this is how modern aeronotic and military industry work , capitalism and competition in markets , So it is not worth making a whole story for little french avionics in the russian MKA

Also theres a reason why we still use the 23mm guns and RPGs we captured during the border war.....because they actually work!!

Also their SAMs systems like the S-400 are pretty decent!!

I would much rather say Chinese and most Soviet era weapon systems are for peasant armies but modern Russian equipment....not so much!!

But i do agree on is that most Russian equipment currently exported are not the best....for example their are much better Helicopter gunships out there than the Mi28....its sell because its cheap!!

Anyway I still maintain my initial stance, the amount of time you use to curse and verbally degrade other African countries only reveals your biggest fear which is the rest of the continent is gradually catching up with you! Your country is loosing its relevance.
