Since we copied American political system blindly, that's how it is in America.

It is still President Clinton, President Bush, President Carter, etc.

Even Trump still calls Hilary Secretary Clinton.

If we revert to our original Westminster system, then it will become Former Prime Minister, once PM out of office.
