So because pple r doing N18k job N30k is cool. Do u understand what it is to be "Gainfully Employed"?

This is not an employment it is just a social intervention, it is aimed at cushioning the effects of joblessness as well as giving the unemployed graduates a job experience. At least appreciate this government for once. The past administration brought SUREP that was not even sure, for how much? 10k. You see nothing wrong in that but 30k is wrong because it is Buhari? May hate not kill you. When you want to criticise please do it logically.

Thank You Buhari

At least, you kept to your word for once..

Thank you.

The word of God came amongst us, but we knew him not.

Out of ten lepers, one came back to thank Jesus for healing him, and Jesus said, were there not ten lepers I cured, why only one returned...

Gratitude only makes the giver do more...

Instead of we complaining, let us come out and thank Buhari en masse for keeping to his word.

Your hatred for this Govt no get part 2 oh!

If they don't employ, you will run your dirty mouths.

Now they employ, but you are still running your dirty mouths.

Do you know why you do what you do? You are helpless. ...and you need to get a life.

Hatred only kills.....and it's autolytic.

The question is, do you prefer unemployment to earning 23k per month?

Let's be realistic! This is a good move by the govt, let first of all appreciate the fact that this is a great move.

why are 75% of the penny penny slavery teaching? Why not 75% technological oriented jobs...

So u are trying to tell me that the destiny of majority of Nigerian Youth lies in teaching....

For me, i am not after these peanuts being dished out, what i am after is the enabling environment for 21st century enterprises to survive, that can generate over 30 million jobs over the next decade and not what would generate 30 million unemployed youth over the next decade

May God deliver you from this slavery mentality...

They come online to rant and complain about the job of N30,000 per month while some of them have not earned up to that amount in their lives. Yet majority of them are checking their phones every seconds, checking their emails every minutes, already bookmarked the portal in their phones just to find out if they have been shortlisted. Still, they come online to form big man. Pathetic people.

Speak for yourself. No business minded person will take a job of 30k i tell you. That money is not even enough for me to spend in a week. I am still talking about 50k as not being enough, someone is shoving 30k to myself. What sort country is this?

I made as much as 400k last month on my own and already blew 250k of that money on house project.

WTF are u talking about? The problem is large scale ignorance and people do not realise yet that they can actually earn MORE than that, even 4X that amount.

Nigerians financial intelligence is the key please. Help people solve yearning problems and watch your bank account swell.

My guy this early momo, why now? If they have been business minded like you, would they be jostling for a job of N30k in the first place? Haba!
Before the application for the job, they were told that the pay is mere N30k. If you know you are too big to earn that low, you won't even bother to apply at all. My grouse is that if you don't need it, there are millions of people who are dying to have it.

Let people stop grandstanding and appreciate their government for this small gesture.

God bless your hustle my friend. But remember, this is not an end in itself. It is just a means to an end. It's only two years and I hope you're going to make use of the experience you'll garner during the course of the programme. Before you know it, the two years will be over. Just take it as a stepping stone and I pray that it will be a stepping stone to your greatness.

Oga e don doo na!!
Let them be
How many times have we seen people complain here on nairaland about being frustrated ,depressed or contemplating suicide due to the high rate of unemployment in these deadbeat country and the lack of capital to start a reasonable business.
Granted, 30k for a graduate is shamefully small, But atleast "Half" is better than none. Stop attacking them. If they are happy, rejoice with them and wish for them something better in future.
You and I both know that their condition is not entirely their fault.

Something (30K) is better than None.

We shouldn't condemn this Npower at least not yet.
Let the program commence fully, then we will know about it properly before we can criticise it- if necessary.

Till then, nice initiative by Buhari led administration.

For the fools running their mouth about "30k salary", did thy say 30k salary or 30k "stipends"? is this a full time job? or its a Program? you fools don't know it's more like an NYSC program?

while most of you fools are here complaining some ppl will use this opportunity as a lunch pad to bigger things.

if failure is the only thing you are looking for, that's the only thing you will find.

From the comments you can tell the character of an average Nigerian. All I see hate speeches being spewd amongst our selves. Until we fix our love nd attitude towards each other......God will continue to punish us with useless leaders. An average Nigerian is a hater nd also a sycophant. Sycophancy is when u burn some one to death for stealing garri nd refuse to abhor people in public offices who suck the nation dry. l repeat an average Nigerian is a hater, you go to tertiary institutions you finder lecturers who are haters! In place of work you find haters! You applying a job you find haters! You walking on streets minding your business you find haters! Someone is appointed to a position of authority all that will be in is mind is how to oppress people!
