let each state government provide 500-1000 acres of land in each state ,that makes it 35 states,the fg should employ 1000 youth in each state , that makes it 35000 employment,the private sector should be in charge of the day to day running of the farm and making sure it makes enough profit, state government provide the land,fg provides the labour force while the private sector provides the managerial expertise .
What this nation needs is serious production base and this was what Rawlings dis then,he closed down universities for almost 2 yrs and used undergraduates for his agric policy and he was paying them allowances

..the choice depend on you, if u are been offered to take up the voluntary programme. If I have a better offer why do this? But as it stands this 30k is better than 20k from secondary school around my house.

Don't mind those e-warriors that are ranting. Some of them are still eating mama thank you that's why they won't appreciate any effort from the government. I was a victim of private school proprietors inhuman treatment. Imagine me teaching financial accounting, commerce, office practice, store management, social studies, business studies and security education? They almost kill me in that useless school I was managing till my body system said no. Some of these e-warriors are equally applicants however because they were not selected they feel the only way to console themselves is to mouthlash the program. Nobody is forcing you to do this if you are not satisfied go to your father's farmland and work there. Abi na by force?

From Monday, November 21st 2016, all successful applicants are required to go to Http://npvn.npower.gov.ng where they are expected to log in to their personal
NPVC accounts and update their information as may be required. This NPVC account will be the primary means of constant communication as well as a learning management resource. Successful N-Power Volunteer Corps members must provide valid bank account information for the purposes of payment of monthly stipends. Information regarding deployment will also be accessible on the N-Power web portal as soon as the States indicate the primary places of assignment of each successful NPVC member.

It has been increased to #30000.00. Though the stipend is nothing but still preferable than to remain idle. I have seen alot of graduates that earn below the minimum wage of #18000 working in our local private schools. The choice is yours to grab this as opportunity or earn below that while searching for good job

one day Government may think it wise to incorporate them into the UBE scheme increase their pay and make them bonafide government school teachers.
