I've seen peeps complaining of not being able to activate 3G network on their lenovo devices and with that, I was moved to write this:
the truth is, most of these lenovo phones are shipped from China, hence, their network are locked to China's network bands. Meaning, the 3G has been restricted to be used with only China networks. So, beware of these fairly used lenovo phones, especially the ones with CHINA MOBILE boldly inscripted on their backs. They'll never work with Nigeria's 3G networks.
If you can do without 3G, you can go ahead and buy them. Considering the fact that they're sold at ridiculously cheap prices.

I never stated that all lenovos; some lenovos network bands are wired to be used by different networks across the globe. When buying a lenovo product, buying a new one is ur best bet. With that, you're assured of a usable 3G. Cuz they're meant for the Nigerian market

yeah, but that's a rare treat with Samsung and HTC. this network band issue is common in lenovo phones. cuz they're shipped down here from China.
