Our perception of the creator differs. I'm of the opinion that if a logical person scrutinises the religious books we have, they can't withstand scrutiny.
There are some things in islam and Quran that I don't agree with and I can't get satisfactory answers to them. I know even the bible has more of such that is very obvious and I seriously wonder at the intelligence of those swallowing everything dogmatically. But that is the power of religion.
Now to the issue of God/creator existing, I'm sure no sane person believes all these things came to being from nothing . You just may disagree with the concept of God presented to you by the organised religion.
As someone a bit knowledgeable about general science, I belief the universe was set to be self sustaining.
It's no fluke in design that the planets are circular to rotate. And it's no coincidence that the space is in vacuum. That's the only reason such unimaginable weight can be suspended. And the celestial bodies have magnetic fluxes helping to turn each other like unseen hands.
The vacuum is such that if a body is pushed in space, na so the body go dey move go till eternity. Nothing to stop it. No air resistance. Except it enters into the magnetic field of a celestial body and it would continue its movement till eternity with that orbit.
So obviously, the planets and stars and their satellites were all perfectly aligned in vacuum /space and each set to motion perpetually with all conditions to make it possible put in place.
Any discerning mind should understand that I'm going somewhere with all these epistle.
My point is that, God doesn't seem to like interfering in the affairs of men.
He obviously cares too much about all creature and in both Christianity and islam , the only thing he requires from us is worship and no idolatry to compete with Him. All the rest laws is about not hurting one another and that forms the bulk of our sins. From hurting His creatures.
It's even so apparent of His love that removing harmful things that could hurt fellow humans from the road is considered a good deed, so as planting tress to shade animals and travellers from the sun and even leaving water on your windows for birds to drink.
He has set rules for us that should ideally make the world a better place if we could follow them.
What's the essence of interference if all would account for his own actions or inaction to make the world better. How many of such homeless or hapless people have you personally rehabilitated.
To buttress my point, even life as we know it can only reside in a body once the minimum required physical conditions are met. That's what doctors try to maintain . And life would enter a body through conception or artificial means if a minimum basic natural conditions are met. That's why you may clone or cross breed.
These processes are programed to proceed and life go on.
The idea of the Creator presented by organised religion could confuse or discourage the Intelligent mind but there is no doubt that the universe didn't happen from nothing. Could matter be made from nothing?
You still need a platform to relate with your creator.
Islam appeals to me to worship my creator. I have it at the back of my mind that I am strictly worshipping my creator while praying, irrespective of the language used or the name given to Him by the religion.
I think you all need to discover yours.
