Hi. I really would not advise the option of taking yourself off the EE profile because of 6 marks. 464 is not a bad score and you just may get an ITA with it. Losing 5 marks would put you at 459 which may seem like a low score because of the trend over the past 6 months or so, but if you study the EE draws for 2015 into 2016, you would notice that at some point, crs scores drop. So, 459 could still get you an ITA. I am not quite conversant with the procedure for a spousal visa post PR status but I do know that it takes a while. boldinc: |

Thanks dupyshoo... Makes sense. We have maxed out our IELTS scores (maximum points from both of us) Tho I haven't done ECA, Cos I dropped out of Uni after 2/3rd year and never went back to complete it. Thought it would be a waste of money to get ECA for just Secondary School Certificate. Besides ECA for me, nothing really to gain extra points, except we do French classes, which would take a lot time. I understand what you mean and would wait till next year to see trend in the next few draws. Thanks again! dupyshoo: |

Good day FAM, Please can anyone confirm if s/he has successfully evaluated an ICAN membership credential with IQAS Your urgent response will be appreciated. it is sad that WES failed to summarise such certificate as "Two years professional study" even after evaluating as so, but concluded on WAEC. Just a complete waste of time and money. I advise that no one should evaluate ICAN with WES. IQAS is the only option i have got left to summarise it as "Two years professional study" abd increase my score from spouse contribution. I dont want to waste money again Below were the words verbatim 1 Share

Garykasparov: I am not surprised. Apparently, WES is a no-go area for ICAN qualifications. Recall my earlier comment on this. See link below; https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/156#47919465 |

Your WES report is the score allocated to your education history... What did you score in IELTS? Maybe a re-write would help you get more points. sensisosu: |

sensisosu: You need to consider other factors which you have not stated. Age? Highest qualification, work experience and your ielts score. Also spousal factors. Without a WES report you cant get into the pool anyways . |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 9:18am On Nov 22, 2016 |
Using your info, the CRS score actually comes out to be 429 and not 438... If you re-write your IELTS and aim for 8.5,8,7.5,7.5 LRSW, your score would go up to - 441. Now here's the part I do not get... (Maybe @dupyshoo or @vcole could help) the Master's option says "Master's degree or professional degree needed to practice in a licensed organization"... Does this mean Nursing falls into this category? Cos that could bump the score to 469 with your IELTS result. But overall, a better IELTS result would do you a lot of good and kinda guarantee you an ITA immediately. sensisosu: |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by vcole: 10:40am On Nov 22, 2016 |
Nursing is not listed under the professional degrees to be awarded crs points in that category. So, bsc nursing would get points for a bachelor's degree under education. i don't think there is any point re writing the ielts. It would only bump from 429 to 441. I don't know if draws would drop below 450. So, really there are 2 options. 1) opt to go the student route and apply for a masters, or 2) opt to pursue licensing with NNAS et al in Canada. When you do get licensed, you would become eligible for PNPs. Licensing is a long and expensive route though. boldinc: |

Empire14:I don't think that's a problem, as long as you apply within the stipulated 2months.But let's still hear from more experienced ppl like Dupyshoo. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Garykasparov: 3:51pm On Nov 22, 2016 |
@EMPIRE14 There is no problem here, your score can not drop further since you have been invited already. Just ensure you apply in 90 days. Also, if you have spent more than 180days when on training abroad, ensure you get a police certficate before you return home. Congratulations! |
