Valencia is average playing as a RW, that has been confirmed already. Let him continue at RB where he is very,very good.
There is a difference between playing as an overlapping RB running into space with the opposing winger as your primary marker and playing as a RW with the defence set up against you and the opposition full back man marking you.

Phil Jones is a very good Center defender, unfortunately injury is stalling him. There is absolute calm to our defence since his return. He makes it looks easy and cool. He played the last 25 minutes of this match limping, hope it is not going to be back to the clinic.


We have head to head advantage over Feyenoord and Fernabache. If only we drew at Fernabache, we would have been sure of winning the group.

How do you know that? He probably meant it, I just reviewed the goal on youtube. Lingard was the only one who could run into that space.

But he did it in in three seasons in the past. The most important thing is been in form. Even great winners like Ribery sometimes look clueless in some matches. Recently we see Mahrez struggle. We see Martial, Rashford, etc struggle in the wing.

Looking at it from another angle, he would be less fearless to adventure forward. Playing as a right back and overlapping comes with risks which was why he didn't want to adventure today with many men trying to block him.

I play RB and have seen too many training sessions to know a lucky pass when I see one...Even the BT commentator said that pass wasn't meant for Lingard.
