Hello!

I`m applying for D.E soon and I would like to know the difference between the aforementioned programmes.
What`s the difference between the BSc and the BEng in regard to the taught courses and the employment possibilities after graduation. Are the courses taught the same, BSc being more focused on the theoretical aspects and the BEng on more practical ones, or the taught courses differ at each one?

Which one do you suggest choosing?

Btech - bachelor of technology
most federal university of technology will honour you with Btech cert. I don't think there is far different in the two cert.

In my university, B.Sc are awarded to all courses which fall under the Science college/faculty. Including Geology, Microbiology, Computer Science, Biochemistry, etc.

**And also to social sciences including Accounting, Social Justice, Intelligence and Security, etc

While B.Eng are awarded to all Engineering courses, the available ones here being Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Chemical, Petroleum, and Civil Engineering.

But In a Technology school like FUTA instead of B.Sc you'll get a B.Tech

All na same thing Oyibo dey use confuse people like the OP. B.sc means bachelor degree/first degree in science, B.eng.(engineering). B.A.(art courses) B.Agric( Agric courses). LLB.(law).
My point be say the person get first degree. That's all.

Let me put my contribution
1. The spelling are different i. e SC & ENG
2. Science deals more with theories while engineering deals more with practical on an ideal situation.
3. And finally use Google to do a better research.

Dude.. Federal University of Technology don't offer B.tech.. Only college of Technology does in affiliate wit some University.. Like yaba tech in affiliate with UNIZIK I tink..

They're both bachelor's degrees.

There are different variants of bachelor's degree. BA, BEng. ,Bsc. ,BEd

The first letter 'B' is an indication that the stated degree is a bachelor's. while the next letter or next two letters is a function of the faculty. 'A'- Art , Eng.- Engineering, Sc.- Science.
