elrony: Simple question, (without negative tones or whatsoever), yet people add their own insecurities and shallow thoughts, and make a different interpretation. Why do you think Martial was relegated? |

eph12: I just think that the first thing for us to sort out in our midfield is find out which position is suitable for our dabbing barber lord. Left side of midfield, b2b or behind the striker. It will make it clearer where we need to buy. Carrick can't play all the games, the likes of schneiderlin and schweinsteiger could put in a shift. Rotation is key here. |

Oasis007: Ahan. How? Is it cos I said there are little issues with the team that still need fixing before mentioning it? How does that transform a question about M's absence into a complaint? I blamr recession for this. |

Oasis007:We need a b2b. If Hererra becomes holding who takes up the b2b? Schleiderlin? Not sure about that guy o. Without the ball he could be useful marking and all but how intelligent is he with the ball? Not sure I can remember any brilliant pass from him since he joined United. |

chrisley024:carvalho is a defensive midfielder not a deep lying playmaker. verrati is the perfect replacement for Carrick. |

Leyqute:Dont mind them jare. U're not wrong. We've had emphatic wins(Leicester, Fenerbache) in d past only for us to go play nonsense few days later. I hope there'll be consistency from now on. If not, what's the point!! As for Martial, he's been very poor lately. So his sabbatical yesterday was well deserved |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Khaytunechi: 11:16am On Nov 25, 2016 |
impressive performance and an emphatic win.. Mkhi was pretty motivated.. damn,, he's nimble footed with close control and sharp thinking and execution too.. the mazy runs and one two exchanges were a joy to watch.. our attacking play isn't bad at all,, we create decent chances and the competition up front and in the wings is really healthy.. the only untouchables,, I think,, are Ibra and Pogba but they're both putting in good shifts at least for now.. Carrick's importance cannot be overemphasized and I wish he's much younger but we can still get decent outings from him.. 180mins in five days and West Ham is next?? I say rest him in d first and give Schneider the role,, problem is no one can do it the Carrick way,, his passes and especially his positioning and covering of the back four is second to none in our midfield,, only Herrera comes close.. so maybe Herrera on either side of Pogba and Mata then Rash/Lingard and Mkhi/Martial/Rooney out wide with god at his usual spot while we hope he will bury the chances.. our season has been much of a stop start thingy.. it's about time we pulled together three four five wins on the throt at all cost as we head into busy December and the new year.. we need the wins badly,, and some lucks too.. injury hasn't been fair on our backline,, I hope the glassy Jones isn't out already,, we need him to stay fit abeg.. seems Rooney is back yh?? an impressive outing,, he's willing to run now.. he and Mkhi did really well with the runs.. they should start doing this things regularly and putting chances away.. @Leyqute,, Martial was directly substituted for Mkhitaryan- obviously.. and Mkhi was goinu play for long so no point having Martial in d matchday squad when we have fringe players-- Lingard and Memphis who should also get decent runs.. rest assured he'll be in the matchday squad for our next game -- bar injury to him.. we need wins yo.. bad bad.. hoping for a good run.. |

Dongorgon5:What we need more urgently I think is a DM/holding midfielder which Carvalho can do; someone that can shield the back and kickstart attack, reason Fellaini, Morgan and Herrera have been tried there and it hasn't worked. Carvalho would replace Carrick immediately without the team requiring much change but with Verrati, there would still be need for someone in front of the back. Herrera....Carvalho....Pogba Or Carvalho.....Pogba |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Khaytunechi: 11:21am On Nov 25, 2016 |
Herrera Verrati Pogba sounds crisp.. Carvalho Herrera Pogba looks solid.. |

I like Veratti but I think he's too much of a box to box player to replace Carrick. 1 Like |

codedguy1: The embolden is main headache in that midfield. Mourinho has tried Pogba with the trio of Herrera, Carrick and Fellani, but in all occasions, no matter how poor Pogba might have been in that match, he never gets benched or substituted. It's coz of finding a way to provide a strong defensive backbone to shield our defense in top matches that Mourinho pushes Pogba into the number 10 role to accommodate a combo of Herrera and Fellani and it end up costing us coz Pogba is practically useless in that position. If only Pogba could play like Mata in that role, Carrick and Herrera would have been the best DM combo to win matches for us. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 12:07pm On Nov 25, 2016 |
eph12: If Lingard improves his decision making especially, knowing when and how to cross/pass, and when to make a run for a through pass, I'd say we've a gem on our hands. Someone that wont even cause chaos when benched and can be called upon especially against top teams. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 12:34pm On Nov 25, 2016 |
sinizia: I think Mourinho won't play Pogba in a midfield of two again unless against teams that are likely to be very defensive. So playing Pogba on the left side of midfield could do the trick. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 12:36pm On Nov 25, 2016 |
eph12: Pogba is available as our B2B Midfielder. He's not signed only to barb and dab! The Trio of Mata, Rooney and Mkhtaryan should enjoy the attacking Role with freedom to interchange and roam! |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 12:47pm On Nov 25, 2016 |
Oasis007: There's nothing to indicate he can play that role. His agent already told us that he prefers to play close to the opponent's goal. Is that the person you want to track back regularly? Please don't suggest that o. You will end up exposing Hererra or Carrick and that could be dangerous even against smaller teams. |

MrTA: What is wrong in having 2 box to box men (pogba and veratti) and having 1 holding midfielder in herrra? Men veratti is the last piece of the jigsaw in that our midfield! We should move mountains to get him! He is excellent as a box to box, holding or pure defensive midfielder! Dongorgon is right! |

Chai see as we dey deliberate on where is suitable for the barbing dabber. Left side midfield, b2b, behind striker and even keeper sef. The guy is truly talented 1 Like |

From yesterday's game, it seems Mou is moulding Pogba into a central midfielder, trying to dictate play with long and incisive through balls. It seems Pogba has been working on that a lot during practice. |

WINGMAN: "I think when you're a person like that, when you're famous like that, people are interested, they want to know everything, I don't know what has happened, I didn't even ask him because it's not important for me and I'm 100 per cent sure the media doesn't know what really happened. "I think we should appreciate him for the player he is, what he did. I don't see many players from England who have had the same career as him. I feel a little bit sorry of the situation because we should show more respect for him. "Everybody wants to make a little thing a big thing. I'm used to it from Sweden, I don't mind it. As a person he's fantastic, I have the luck to get to know the person, "As a player, there are no words to not say about him - he's the perfect player. Everybody knows what he can do, what he did, what he has done. I'm happy for him to break the record and I will help him to go one more - then I see it as the real record." eph12: Who cares about what his Agent says?! The most important thing is; what the Manager thinks of him and where he can play and excel! Is he with him at the training Ground?! Was he the one that discovered his talent and taught him how to play football?! We need him to play the role he played in the last Match. We do not need him near the attacking Role anymore. He has played there and wasn't convincing. 1 Like |

"He [Mkhtaryan] just needs now to replicate this kind of performance in the Premier League. The Premier League is different – he needs one more step. Obviously now confidence levels are higher. "This performance gives him the right to believe that he can play the next match again and he needs to replicate this kind of performance in the Premier League with more physicality and more aggression. "He needs a little bit more of that but the quality – we know why we bought him, we know we were buying a player with a high level of technical quality. "He is very intelligent and very bright, the way he reads the game, so good for him because the performance was good." - Jose Mourinho |
