I think there should be someone who knows some form of English. Maybe not fluently but certainly a bit of English. I think you can also try checking their website.

I just checked their website about the expatriate visa law but it was in Arabic. Maybe you should call again or call the Nigerian embassy there. *if we have one*

I don't live in Oman but there is a thread about Qatar and UAE here in the travel section. You might get some advice there because the countries are similar.

Don't come to Saudi if your not a professional (Doctor, Medlab, Nurse, Engineer, Teacher)........Best advice!!...if you doubt, GOOGLE!
infact I am yet to find any Nigerians doing unskilled jobs except the Sudanese, Indians and pakistans.......I usually tell my colleagues that if nigerians do come here, they wont be able to condone the nonsense that occurs here).

Lots of Nigerians in Oman, infact u will find Nigerians in virtually all the Universities, hospitals and the Oil sector. Muscat is d place to be cos u have few Nigerians and expatriate outside Muscat. That said, minimum 700 - 800 Omani rial could be ok for a single and for a family depending on the size, minimum of 1000 Omani rial (1 naira - 960 Omani rial)excluding benefits.

Am in Qatar, I have not been in Oman before but I have some Nigerian friends there that work as House maid, have never come across any man saying he is working in Oman. Those ladies working as house maid always complaining of so many mal treatments they use to get from their employer which include sexual harassments. One of the lady has to forcefully leave the country last year within two months of her coming to Oman. Person need to do his or search very well before leaving to Oman or whatsoever in Gulf Region cos most of these Nigerian Agents will paint it well whereas they have never even go beyond MMA.
