You have to learn to clean your streets first before you can begin to think of managing 100.000 dollars . Africans try to run before they can crawl, that is why they worship ill gotten money and mediocrity instead of hard work and ingenuity. Money to a fool is like bubble in the air,it disappears as it comes. 4 Likes 1 Share |

“It’s not how much money you make, but how much money you keep, how hard it works for you, and how many generations you keep it for.” Robert Kiyosaki hits the nail on the head on making sound investment choices. You can make a lot of money from investing in property, however you need to make sure that the costs of owning that property don’t eat into the money you make. You will need to focus just as much on the long term capital gain and making that investment work hard so that you’ll have something left to hand over to your love ones. |

ShoProperties: Kiyosaki who wrote the book rich dad poor dad is now a broke dad. I was reading his book and gave up half way. That guy is a scammer. We live in a dog eat dog world. People take advantage of others to get rich they easily forget that someday death will overtake them all. Having said that, its not ideal to invest in a country without a stable government. I will rather invest in a country where I am sure I won't have to argue with my tenant to pay rent. Where I will be paid by insurance in couple of weeks if an unforeseen disaster affects my dwelling. Where I get paid $300- $400 per week for my house and where my tenant will have 24hrs power/electricity, running water, gas, where the value of my dwelling appreciates by the day, and where there is control price on goods and commodities. With the situation of things in Nigeria, it is not the best time and place to invest in Africa. I would rather invest in South Africa now rather than Nigeria. The government need to put a lot of things in place to attract foreign investors. We still need experts and foreigners in Nigeria if by any means they are sent packing just like Zimbabwe did that will be the end of Nigeria. |

Lekki is one of the fastest developing community in the whole of Nigeria right now, and what’s more, the train is moving further, just as developments in that area gets better. Wise people are taking position in vantage points of that area now |

africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote gave some insights into the size of his Lagos State-sited refinery which he claims to be 8 times bigger than Victoria Island, also in Lagos. |

Real estate investing in Lagos is profitable if you know how and where to invest. When you invest appropriately in Nigeria property, you can easily earn as high as 20 - 30 percent growth in your investment year on year with almost zero work. |

Interesting topic but I will rather invest where my investment is secure. I don't want to take a loan to buy a tractor trailer only for such trailer to be set on fire because of accident or street fight between neighboring street. Can anyone imagine how many Dangote's trailer has been set of fire for God knows reason? Nigeria is one of the most difficult place to invest. 3 Likes |

xandy84:True but what I'm not understanding is Black keeps trooping out of africa while all this white men keep coming to africa to invest |
Re: African Diaspora: Come Back With Glory Or Don’t Come Back At All! by xandy84: 1:44am On Nov 25, 2016 |
Good observation. The white keep coming to invest in Africa because they can access loan with minimal intereat rate back home, invest in Africa with next to nothing due to curruption and make astronomical profit and flight the proceed back home. African leave Africa because Africa is a grave yard of talent. They arrive Europe or America and make decend wages, enjoy basic amenities which is not existences in Africa and they forget about Africa for good. ShoProperties: |

The on-going expansion of the existing Epe Expressway that links Victoria Island and Lekki to Epe with additional coastal road and a marina, will further open up the neighbourhoods of the Lekki corridor, of which Ibeju-Lekki forms a great part. This means that there will be a steady and guaranteed appreciation of property values. |

I read through this thread long time but I've been so busy to correct certain impressions here. First of all, when it comes to investment, I will be the last to do it at home. The few I mistakenly did is a story for another day. If I had known, I would have used that money for charity instead. Secondly, telling people to make sure they come back with money is the reason our young chaps here get involved in dirty deals just to "pose" back home. it's wrong, please change that headline. On the issue of home is the best, my brother travel and see. When I say travel I mean travel and enter by road not by window if you know what I mean. What is life if not to enjoy its benefits. When one has steady electricity, gas, water, good shelter, good car, good and safe environment, caring government, good savings, safe investment, etc, what else is there to look for. What do we enjoy in Nigeria if not the lawlessness, idleness, laziness and corruption? I never discourage anyone intending to travel except undocumented travelers. If your spouse file immigration documents for you or if you win visa lottery, abeg leave NAIJA and be useful with your life for once. 4 Likes 1 Share |

SirJeffry: There's no place like home!! Period!! Stay as long as u like in any foreign country,at the end of the day,the motherland keeps calling and requesting our presence!! We all need to start heeding the call and quit hiding behind the false security of "Being abroad"!! Most folks at home are making it and are not intimidated or threatened by their folks in the diaspora. The tables are turning, and the sooner we secure our place at home, the better. "Being abroad" is not the end all,be all!! Certain folks at home who've never ventured outside the country are thriving, surviving and well established. |

ShoProperties:My brother, the sad truth is that I can not live in Nigeria again, I can't fit in. My lifestyle and attitude cannot adapt to the one back home but I do visit regularly though due to family ties. Yes anybody can be established anywhere but simple things of life matter. Dangote lives in a mansion at home, drives new cars, burns fuel and endure noise pollution with health hazards that follows just to have steady power, water etc at home, worries about his security and investments at home and I live here in my 5bedroom home with all basic amenities at my disposal, sleep well at nights with no worries about my security or my litle investments here, drive new cars even before they get to dangote on good roads with less accident risk, have fast access to good healthcare before dangote private jet gets here for the same purpose. My brother, what's the difference between the two of us. Yes, his bank account is by far fatter but I enjoy the good life only dangote and his likes enjoy at home. If I were to be in NAIJA, my story won't go like this. Imagine an average person on the street here drives 2016 car, what only the extremely rich folks do at home and you say oyiboland is not good. Brother travel (with proper document) and see. 2 Likes |
