@kembee86

Am so glad u said this...

I have been so worried about my application. Been waiting for 9 weeks now to hear from UKVI

My hubby & i were introduced January by a mutual friend. We met physical in February (fast, right? We just clicked)

We were married by June!

Also I didn't submit any whatsapp chat but we submitted the call logs (we speak "everyday" for hours) and we have emails too.

Tons of pictures from our traditional & court wedding as well as a few pictures we took when we were together

I have been so worried they might say our relationship isnt substituting or whatever that evil term they use is.

Reading this gives me Hope again. I found this thread weeks after I had submitted.

Thanks for sharing.

KemBee86:
Don't be scared, I submitted just about 6 months communication details (just viber and bbm, we didn't even submit phone calls) too and some pictures we took dt same year( but loads of wedding pictures about 40) cos I and my spouse only dated for 8 months before we got married and applied and I got my visa.

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick one. I'm now set for biometrics next week Wednesday and our supporting documents look good after months of research on this and many other forums but i have a question regarding sponsor's p60.

My wife's p60 for April 2015 - April 2016 doesnt reflect she earned at least 18,600GBP. The reason for this was that she was on maternity leave for 6 good months (June - November 2015) and this ofcourse affected her gross earnings for the aforementioned tax year. She, however, returned to work in December 2015 and has been been earning atleast 1550GBP monthly gross.

My question is: do we need to include this p60 as part of our supporting documents or we just drop it so as not to confuse the ECO(given that she has already earned at least 1550GBP for the past 11months)?

From my understanding, the P60 is not compulsory should you have already provided a letter from the employer dated within 28 days of application, 6 months payslips and bank statements reflecting salary payment and an employment contract. If you do decide to put it amongst the supporting documents, you could state that the amount shown for that tax year included her maternity leave pay.

Thank you so much KemBee86. Really does help calm the nerves. We had a lot of pictures, call logs with Vonage and whatsapp conversations.

Just trying to get through the weeks, always looking forward to Fridays for the fact that one full week is out of the way.

Don't worry, it's gonna be fine, I waited 12 weeks and it was the longest ever..came into the Uk in March. I and hubby had a very short courtship and he was around for just few days after the wedding, so in a nut shell, it's definitely gonna worth the wait. All the best! Can't wait to hear your good news!

I'll say leave the P60, it's not required. It might give them a reason to start doubting her income.

My darling, in all sincerity. I will advice you to reapply, it's more expensive but worth it. The appeal may take over a year. Try and do the Ielts ukvi and not just the regular one and provide enough supporting documents for the financial requirement.
Your appeal won't be a straight forward one.

I'll go for appeal and just address only the lacking requirements. it's just too expensive to risk being refused again. My own paper appeal took 6 months, yeah it was long but not as long as I feared.
The new price increment is just insane to risk losing again. For the appeal, you just pay once, even if turned down again.
A coworker from India appealed twice before winning without paying anything extra.
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Benuromi: 9:31am On Nov 26, 2016
You don't need their passport number and date of birth as no one will give it to you. If you can get their name and nationality, that is enough. When I did my wife spouse visa 2015, I was living in a double room share house. I did my property inspection and a letter from landlord. I did checked the voters register on my address then, there where more names which was not living in that particular address, I did add a letter explaining that.
I didn't add anyone passport or date of birth. I only wrote name and nationality.
TunzAntman:

I understand it isn't the same. I believe the docs we have should be enough for the accommodation requirements and that can even be cross checked on the electoral roll. My question is more about filling the form where it asks for the passport numbers of everyone living in the house.

Yes. Exactly my fear. However, I think it is necessary to still provide some explanation and perhaps attach it to the p60 along with maternity SMP and other relevant documents to inform them the reason she didnt earn up to the required amount in the last tax year.

I saw somewhere online how someone was refused because his/her earnings wasn't up to the require amount in the previous tax year but the sponsor claimed to have earned the required amount in that tax year. They found out this information from HMRC.

Please what do you think?

Quick question.

My cousin overstayed his student visa after completing his MSc programme in UK. He returned home in 2010 afterwards. Been working in Nigeria since then.

Now he has secured a PhD research position in Robert Gordon university with full scholarship from tetfund and his state government.

Will his overstay gravely dampen his chances of returning to the UK. Does he stand any chance with an appeal.
Additional useful information would be great. Thanks.

Their only requirements are 6 months payslips preceeding the application date and then a letter from your employer (VERY important) confirming how much your yearly wages. P60 is extra.
In our first application, I provided 3 P60 slips but was refused for providing only 4 payslips. My P60 didn't seem to make any difference to them.

If the sponsor is on maternity leave at the time of application the ECO is only supposed to take the 6 months salary before the sponsor started maternity leave when calculating the required earnings.

No of course I know. So it's best not to bother submit the P60 to avoid confusion. I feel like they didn't even bother to look at mine.

They ignored mine as well, refused the visa for erroneously including just 4 payslips

Hi all,

Please is it compulsory to include the passport number of other occupants in the house?

We already have inspection report.. council tax & bills plus a letter from the house owner.

Thanks. However, I have read from a few sources that they are backing down with this fee increase and will be going back to the old fees and will refund the difference to anyone who has paid the new amount. Don't know how true it is though. I'm not holding my breath. undecided

I laugh in Hausa........... They have simply used certain applications to milk the mammary glands dry. It's simply another means of income generation.
Spousal applications used to be free, then £60, then £250 and the price hike sequence continues.
Not also forgetting that spousal visa's were usually issued within 24 hours of interview ( how things have changed or times).
Don't also forget the other hit to the pocket, upon renewal and the other hit to pocket upon British passport application (the sequence continues).......
Appeal too used to be free, then the Consequential price increase.
Its simply another form of indirect Tax, theft by style or income generation (or simply a combination of all).

Of course. Hence the reason I'm not holding my breath. The fee I paid for has gone. I just hissed when I read the information.
