I believe losing her parents at an early age made her over dependant emotionally on him.

It's clear she has or had low self esteem and couldn't imagine life without him so was willing to endure all that trash.

I HATE one sided stories,why is Toke determined to expose Maje and Anita.methinks she doth protest too much...... How do we know she wasn't the one coming in between them. Abi... even karrine Steffans was classy enough to use some fictional characters.I admired Toke's maturity on not spilling about her marital issues to the media like Tiwa Savage, but this book is just giving Maje too much attention.I think a part of her would still have Maje if he comes backs to her.
