What does that tell you about the sum purchasing power of the country? That is not to demean the importance of local production which Nigeria has been doing quite good in since the last administration.

Trade and Commerce. This is not even an area we should go into. As a matter of fact, it is always still thought that Nigerian economy is still underestimated. Why? There is so much informal commercial activities going on that are not properly documented. Kenya may have a higher penetration of formal trade cuz of their small size but total volume and value of trade in Lagos alone will easily undermine what is done in the whole Kenya.

At the end of the day, the Europeans and Asians still see all we Sub-saharan Africans as the same black people.

Am a Nigerian, but if i see another Black African country doing well, i really feel happy and take pride in them and wish we could all help each other and grow together. At least, we should be able to compare with the powerful European, Arab and Asian countries before we start claiming one thing or the other.

Kenya has their own weakness and strength, Nigeria has it's too, even the South Africa that seems like the most Advanced African country have their own challenges too.

And not all Kenyans are black, there are other races here too, so, those Indians are KEnyan
When I was in primary school I was taught KEnya has the following language groups
1. Bantu(Kikuyu, Kamba, Taita, Swahili etc)
2. Nilotes(Luo, Masai, Kalenjin etc)
3. Cushites(Somalis, Oromos, Rendilles etc
4 Semitic(though very few, there are some Arabs mainly from Yemen)
Those groups have been in Kenya for centuries. So if you see a Somali guy in Kenya he is probably a native though some come from Somalia and are naturalised citizens
5. Indians. The British brought them to Kenya as railway workers, late 1800s, some never left. And those Indians you see are, Kenyan Asians, not Indian citizens.
6. Whites. Most are from the colonial stock who never left the country, they have kenyan citizenship. Then there are a few former Zimbabwe whites settled here. Then there are some Italians, mainly in MAlindi, some town which also has a nickname(Little Italy)
