Chelsea to reward Moses with new deal

English Premier League club, Chelsea will hand
Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses with a new
contract and will hold talks in 2017 according to
the London Evening Standard.

The Stamford Bridge will open talks with the
Nigerian in the coming days with a view to
rewarding him for his impressive displays this
season.

Moses agreed a four-year deal worth £45,000 a week in 2015 but Chelsea are already willing to negotiate another one and offer the 25-year old a significant pay-rise.

The Nigerian international has been one of the
surprises in the Premier League this season after
becoming a first-team regular at Stamford Bridge.

He has netted three league goals for Chelsea this season and his powerful displays have helped Chelsea to the summit of the league standings.

Moses joined Chelsea from Wigan for £9 million in 2012 but has been loaned to Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham respectively in the previous three
seasons.

However, coach Antonio Conte has given him a
chance to impress since arriving in the summer
and is a huge admirer of the skilful star.

Moses has made 14 appearances this season and has started the past seven League games as a right wing back in the new 3-4-3 formation.

The 25-year-old scored his fourth goal of the
season in the 2-1 win over Tottenham on
Saturday and was also named man-of-the-match
for a second week in a row.

Mourinho set to lure Mikel to Man Utd

Mikel John Obi © Getty Images

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is set to make a shock move to bring his former
midfielder, Mikel John Obi to Old Trafford from
Chelsea.

Super Eagles captain, Mikel, has not played under new Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte and there are no plans to renew his contract which runs out this season.

The Sun reports that Mourinho is ready to take
advantage of the situation with a cut-price New
Year offer for the Nigeria international midfielder
the Red Devils thought they had signed 10 years ago.

Mikel had just turned 19 when the Old Trafford
outfit announced on their website that they had
signed him on a four-year contract from
Norwegian club FC Lyn-Oslo.

The £4 million transfer was done directly with the player and his club — bypassing his agents and he was even pictured in a United shirt.

But Chelsea angrily claimed they had an
agreement with the agents to buy him.

Things turned nasty when it was reported Mikel
started to get threatening phone calls and ended up having to take refuge in a safe hotel with a security guard.

He then went missing from Lyn amid stories he
had been kidnapped.

Mikel had actually travelled to London where he
went on Sky Sports TV to claim that he had been pressured into signing for United, something they denied, and he wanted to join the Blues.

The matter was resolved when Chelsea paid
United £12 million and FC Lyn-Oslo £4 million.

If a deal happens then it will be the second time Mourinho will sign Mikel, who he believes can play in a defensive midfield role in front of the back four. He needs that type of player to give £89 million Paul Pogba freedom to roam.

You go from it seems and to he does. So, it is no more blacks but black Africans. Guardiola is not a racist. If he was a racist, he would have sent Eto out along with Ronaldinho.

Yaya's agent was clearly off his duty when he blasted Guardiola repeatedly. Yet, he accepted Yaya back after he apologized.

Nasri, Joe Hart were dropped from the team. These are white Europeans. If they were Africans, you would have screamed racism.

He has worked well with Alaba and Boateng. Improving them along the way. Chill with the racist tag.

Sir u misconstrued my assertion. I never casted any aspartion from a racism related angle. I clearly stated that he works well with blacks like Abidal, alaba and Co though Europeans but it seems or worst yet, without rigmarolling, he does hate African players.

They have to get picked by a top team first before u can make that judgement. Players like Salami, Onobi, Matthew did just fine at their clubs getting rave reviews.

Don't mean to under rate any of the afore mentioned players especially Mathew, but rave reviews in a Scandinavian league? Not just Scandinavian but Norwegian league of all leagues. Lol Peter Ijeh comes to mind. I was talking about Europe top leagues and u r headed for Scandinavia. Do u even know how many times Salami left our shores for Europe on trials before he finally ended in Kups? If spartak had swooped on Salami, he would have undergone a trial before any deal could be reached. Norwegian league is an obscure league bro don't compare it with the Russian league and I don't think Kups is as good as the worst team in Russia. IMO

What did he do to them that he has not done to a white player? Racism is real and it still exists so don't make it a trivial issue by accusing everyone u see of it. Black is black a white racist will not stop to check if u are African or not, as black people we are all in the same boat, we are all from Africa.

I asked u guys a while back why is it that Brazilian players cost more and i heard about quality of league. That may be correct but the real reason is that Nigerians have just not been fancied. Etebo alone should tell u that we are being heavily under priced in Europe, Kolanut boy went to Morroco instead of Lille, it says something that an African team was more willing to sign our player than a French team. Mark my words in the coming years the prices will sky-rocket, these same teams will see the errs of their ways, like how dare u let Ifeanyi Matthew go to Norway? Etebo goes to Portugal after the commentator at the u23 afcon said real madrid, barca come get this boy, it just does not add up.

Nigerian players have never been really fancied but that is going to change soon. smiley

The thing is a very large percentage of Nigerian youngsters fail to live up to expectation.

Most of our players do not progress well. Clubs in Europe have identified that.

Like seriously, will you prefer to employ a worker whose experience is working for some low profile briefcase company over a worker from a Multinational company? That is why players from the top rated leagues cost more. Not fancy.

Our players need to boost their profiles from other leagues with higher reputations than ours.

I couldn't have said it any better sir. Most of our exports from early to mid 2000s disappointed though that trend is gradually changing, thanks to Iheanacho and co who kinda reopened the way. Imagine the Harunas, Akinsolas, chrisantus of this world who were more or less abysmal and bad deals to their European clubs when they were bought without trials, that really tarnished our image to say the least.

Are you being objective? I actually remember Etebo when he was at teenager at Warri Wolves.

Norway is not as good as Russia but is a better league for young players hoping to break into top European clubs. Mikel and Obasi started in Norway. I will prefer a young player to play in Norway instead of Russia.

Finland is a rubbish league.
