Icon4s: Usually, if 4-5 players from an under 17 set make it to the national team, that is a big success. Already Iheanacho, Musa Muhammad and Ndidi are already in the national team set-up. Isaac Success has been unlucky with injuries, otherwise he would be playing. Simon Moses was also a Manu boy. Alampasu is already in the system. We have others that could potentially be there in the future. Nwakali and Ifeanyi Mathew. Yahaya and Ezeh are still young. 3 Likes |

I saw dis,,,,,tink its worth sharing Man City Keeping Close Tabs On Enterprising Nigerian Forward Dennis Bonaventure Dubbed ” Nigerian Neymar” Following the success of Kelechi Iheanacho at Manchester City, the Etihad based outfit could yet add another Nigerian to their squad, going by reports gathered by the editorial staff of Owngoalnigeria.com. Scouts from English Premiership giants Manchester City were in the stands when Zorya took on Stal Kamianske in a Ukraine Premier League game, with Nigerian 18 year old forward Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure starting for Zorya. The 18 year old is reportedly one of the players scouts of Manchester City came to watch alongside other players, as the winners of the Manchester derby step up their transfer activity in the country where one of their latest signing Oleksandr Zinchenko comes from. Infront of the scouts of Manchester City, Bonaventure was on for 72 minute before he was substituted for Denys Bezborodko in the game that ended 2-2. A product of Football Academy Abuja, he is nicknamed Neymar due to his similar hairstyle with that of the Barcelona Brazilian super star. So far he has made four appearances for Zorya, in what is his first full season as a professional footballer. He also has one goal to his name and one caution picked up due to excessive celebration after scoring in the league opener on his professional debut. 2 Likes |

Don't know why I dislike these tags for our players: "Nigerian Messi", "Nigerian Pogba", "Nigerian Kante", "Nigerian Neymar" etc. Some even go as far as using the whole continent "African Messi" etc..WHO is giving them these names by the way? 2 Likes |

tbaba1234: That is it. 4-5 and maybe a few others if at all. Most of the players from an 18man U17 squad never play for the senior team. Ndidi and Mathew were not part of the U17 WC squad. |

tbaba1234: Ndidi and Mathew did not feature at the CAF U17. They failed MRI before the tourney. Ndidi and Simon were first featured by Obuh at the 2013 WYC. Dnt misunderstand me. I am not doing any comparisons. My point stands from an argument last year when i stated that most of the 2013 U17 winning squad will nt likely play for d Super Eagles. 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: Even if you want to sign a computer programmer from a humble beginning, he must have the tested requirements to get employed. Our league is not suitable enough to provide the right testing. |

tglobal: These names give ideas of how the players play. If you meet a scout and want to tell him about a player. If you do not have a video, a tag like that gives a mental picture. It is also done by the foreign media too. |

TheGoodJoe: What is the right testing? Even hackers are hired by big companies so good is good. You always have players that are too good for their leagues. Remember Rohr does not even want Ekong to step foot in Gent. U can never discount a player cuz of the league, that does not stop making the player special. Ibra was scoring in France and is scoring in England yet the leagues are far apart. |

BascoVanVeli: You are jumping to the Norwegian League. Even on this thread, many are not ready to see the coach fielding our home League players in important games. Even if the player is Ronaldinho in Nigeria, top clubs will not take risk. Smaller clubs will and if the player is flawless, then Big clubs can come in. Because, he is tested. When a big company employs a freelance hacker to fix some bugs in their program, they do so because the hacker is tested. That is how they know he is good to handle the pressure and do the task. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: I was not jumping to Norway, i used that to explain my point. If a giant company can stoop low to hire an hacker then why won't they hire someone from a small briefcase company? U r beating around the bush, Nigeria has won things with homebase players lately Sunday Mba. We have people like me in the thread that have been fighting for Nwobodo to get his chance and so i know Nigeria is very much alive in the talent department. We can only give them the talent wat they do with the player is up to them. |

BascoVanVeli: Nwobodo is but one man. Out of the whole players in the league, you can only point a player for the Super Eagles. So how do you expect Big clubs to invest big in players from our league. A big company hires a hacker because they know he is good. Our league does not show that the players are good. |

TheGoodJoe: I don't know why guys on this thread are reasoning with "emotionally" clouded minds. Iheanacho is nowhere near the level of Aguero and Wouldn't start for any other Big Team aspiring for European or League Success. Pep prefers his wingers to be Very Fast which is not a strong attribute of Kelechi so he cant start as a winger. Pep doesn't play with a Second/Supporting Striker. Morata doesn't start games when Benzema is Fit and Firing. Munir who i rate didn't start games when suarez was below par last season. Iheanacho would get his chance but to think he is a world beater that deserves to start ahead of Aguero is disturbing. 6 Likes |

I already pointed out the bolded earlier mister... So dont come singing a song we already know. So you think we are being "just" emotionally clouded huh?? Ofcos, there's some emotion here... But we are also being analytical... Now tell me... MUST IHEANACHO BE AT AGUERO'S LEVEL TO GET GAMES AT CITY?? Morata doesn't start games (mostly when Benz is in) but he still get games (even as a sub). So the morata comparison is bollocks. So again I ask, MUST IHEANACHO BE AT MESSI-LEVEL or AGUERO-LEVEL BEFORE HE GET EVEN FIVE MINUTES UNDER GUARDIOLA SEEING THAT HE GOT NONE IN THE LAST FIVE GAMES?? Nacho cant play AM or RWF at some point in a game?? Nacho is suddenly "useless"?? Did Nacho even suffer a dip in form?? Aguero did but not Nacho... So what the heck are you saying?? princesuko: |

Pedro – My Friends At Barcelona Asked Me About Victor Moses Former Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriquez has revealed to Spanish sports news outlet Don Balon that his teammates who are still at Barcelona have asked him questions about Chelsea wing back Victor Moses. Moses has been linked with a move to Barcelona by the Spanish media with reports claiming the Catalan have already scouted the 25 year old five times this season. It is widely believed that a move for him isn’t far off as they continue their search for a replacement for Dani Alves who left for Juventus following the not too convincing display of Sergi Roberto. ”I have been asked by my teammates who are still at Barcelona about Moses, it’s normal because he is linked to them in the media but he is not leaving Chelsea”, Pedro allegedly told Don Balon. ”He is in the form of his life, he won’t want to let all of his hard works over the past few years go away after few months. He is here to stay”. Source: http://owngoalnigeria.com/2016/11/29/pedro-my-friends-at-barcelona-asked-me-about-victor-moses/ 1 Like |

Super Eagles Ace Musa Muhammed Plays Nine Minutes In First Game In 10 Months For Turkish Side Super Eagles right full back Musa Muhammed played his first game in ten months for Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir in their 1-0 win away to Yeni Amasyaspor in the Turkish Cup. However even though his team ended up winning the game, the right full back who has been warned by the coach of Nigeria to sort out his club form or forget the national team played just nine minutes. He was introduced as a substitute for Cenk Ahmed Alkilic in the 81st minute as they grind out a 1-0 win over 10 man Yeni Amasyaspor courtesy of Sokol Cikalleshi 71st minute goal. His last game for the high flying Turkish side who are leading the log in the league was on the 28 of January 2016, a year and a day ago when they drew 2-2 with Amed SK in same cup competition. The former Nigeria U-17 and 20 captain is yet to make a league appearance for the team 18 months after joining the team in a high profile transfer from FC Heart FC of Abuja. Pressure on City.... What an excuse!!! Five games..... Not even five minutes and you tell me about pressure. One game you can point to.... Just one game. And Nacho wasn't even poor. He was just average and his high-pressing game was excellent. Even TheGoodJoe himself who you wanna support and join swords with will knock you for using "poor" to define Nacho's performance that day. Aguero lost form so badly that Pep had to even bench him at some point. Nacho never lost form. He always delivered during Aguero's absence thru suspension. So mister.... Bollocks is all you've just said. So Nacho must be at "WORLD CLASS LEVEL" to get games huh?? Na wa for some people sef.... princesuko: |
