Spokespersons for buhari will rili find it hard to defend dis. A situation where virtually evrytin has bn taxed n followed wit dramatic price increase. One wonders whose interest dis current govt is protecting.

Imagine NCC (a regulator) ordering telcos to embark on such an increase. Pls wat stake does NCC have in dis sector or r they simply tryin to impress sai baba d junketeer on revenue generation or wat.

Wch kain useless govt be dis. Tot buhari said he z for d poor.
This govt is as useless as poo. Imagine what will happen to businesses that thrives through the internet- the business centers, the online business such as jumia, jiji etc, imagine how job seekers and applicants will spend surfing the net for unavailable jobs, imagine how hard youths who communicates easily using social media platforms will fare. Well its thier business, they should continue. I believe some of those parents, relatives, friends or loved ones supporting this wickedness aren't living in Venus. When the former administration increased fuel by a little percent, many lagosians and thier supporters crowded parks and streets shouting "crucify him" today, those involved and thier loved ones are crying bitterly. People especially those in positions should reason accurately.

they will win the north, win 1 or 3 states in the south west, win 5 or 6 in the south south and south east, cause commotion and problems in the rest. It will be almost impossible for any party to beat them for the presidency in 2019. All our politicians know about is chop chop chop and apc is the only party distributing that now

Tarrif increase!
The positive side, I will spend less time online getting entertained, gossiping, arguing, quarreling, fighting, being mischievous and making etisalat, mtn, Linda Ikeji, Sowore, Jack Dorsey, Mark Zukerberg richer by the second.... Now i intend to spend more time doing my job and increasing productivity. The amount of time i spend online joncing has impacted negatively on my work.

Some ICT stakeholders have expressed mixed reaction to the proposed increase in the cost of data by some telecommunication operators from Dec. 1, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

NAN recalls that some telecommunication companies have been sending out messages to subscribers that they will increase data rate from Dec. 1, in line with the Nigeria Communications Commission’s order

Mr Olusola Teniola, the President Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) said that with the increase, other telecom companies would jerk up their prices, which would adversely affect subscribers.

He said that operators would also increase the cost of megabytes, which consumers could not afford at this time of economic recession.

“So what we are saying at ATCON is that no taxes should be applied in this industry and if there any taxes, it should also include other sectors.

“Already, the cost of data will go up in December and subscribers will not be getting as much data as they paid for,’’ he said.

Mr Edwin Okolo, a computer scientist said that the increase in the cost of data “is uncalled for’’, adding that there should be other avenues for government to make money.

“What we are saying is that we want every Nigerian to be linked with the internet and you are planning to increase the cost of data, so it is no longer for the poor,’’ he said.

However, Mr Adede Williams, the National President of Telecommunications Professionals of Nigeria sought the understanding of subscribers in the proposed increase.

Williams said that some stakeholders in the telecom sector were soliciting the understanding of the subscribers in the increase.

“We the stakeholders are appealing to the subscriber to have a little understanding for to have effective service delivery.

“If you check out the tariff, it is just a slight difference from what we use to have, so that is the true position of things now.

“Some of the subscribers have been informed before now of the tariff increase.

“I know it is not easy but it is just because of the trend of what is happening in the country,’’ he said. (NAN)

In two years,

This administration has succeeded improving Nigerian lives through

Increase power tariffs,
Increase fuel prices,
Increase in flight prices,
Increase in budget with nothing to show for it
Increase in price of basic necessities like food etc

Now, you have increase in data cost
And as Fashola said, we should be expecting the return of toll gates ...

And Nigerians still vote these insensitive and irrational government in at every level.

Foolishness in supanova realm

Hmmmmm. When they keep winning elections at every level for the 2k they share, why won't they do worse? Expect worst cos in 2019, they will simply give you peanuts of what they have stolen from you and you will vote em back for another four years. Maybe then our senses go don format completely. If they start kissing goodbye elections at every turn they will know . Because sincerely speaking, you can only rig elections when they are too close to call. If they loose on a massive scale they dare not rig it.
Don't wait till 2019 , start now, make them feel pains too. Make them loose elections at every turn. Be it local govt, Houses of Assembly, Governorship, National Assembly , etc. And eventually we will be able to take presidential elections. I rise.
