After just 1 year, Buhari's 2nd administration has spent more money than any other Govt in Nigeria's history. With nothing but recession to show for it.

For all those who think voting billions to buhari will be the catalyst for revamping the economy.
A dullard is a dullard,it doesnt matter the amount of money voted for his expenditure.
And can someone please tell me where all this money voted for capital expenditure went to.
This govt is more corrupt than past govts, just that a fewer people within a close knit cabal are now sharing more loots

Yeah.
That's how they keep blaming low oil price.
I have said it before that even oil trades above $100 for 4 straight years, Buhari would still look for other excuses for his incompetence.

How can OP seek to trade on the ignorance in the land just to tarnish the image of what's arguably our best option for President?
Even though the budget figure in Naira is high, commonsense should tell OP and his co-travellers that we depend largely on foreign goods, service, and expertise alot and the foreign currency equivalent of the budget is lowest in a long time.

To use the word "our best option for President" is to insult millions of right thinking and knowledge Nigerians who tried their best to stop is catastrophic journey we don't know when and where it will end with their vote.

When the role call of this government is made, the disappointment that will greet those who thing this government is corruption free will send many to after life.

Unbudgeted spending is corruption. But when you are both the driver and the conductor you will easily forget na hire purchase you dey drive.

And they claim PDP wasted money. This Buhari regime is the worst regime since independence.See Trillions of Naira being spent since 3rd quarter of 2015, yet no increment in salary and no infrastructural development. This regime has managed to shut out media and carry on with looting rampage. If it's not looting, what are these Trillions being spent on?

clowns come on board & talk trash.

you are presented with facts that PMB is a disaster, yet you pull out silly excuses from your posterior to justify failure.

that is how the nitwits where already justifying the Data tax before it was suspended.

it is PMB's critics that are saving this nation.

imagine if the man was allowed to just have his way all through, we would probably be paying tax to be able to sleep & nitwits will concoct trash about how its best for Nigerians.

now some facts for the nitwits...

between 1982-84 crude oil sold at a av. of $68pb (inflation adjusted rates are being used).

between 1984-85 when GMB ruled, it dropped to approx. $60pb a drop of less than 15%, but the economy tanked...

in comes IBB, in 85, crude prices drops to about $35pb, a drop of over 55% (remains so for over 3 years), yet the economy picks up, life is better than it was in 84-85 with higher oil prices.

lesson for the day?

dumb leader = dump policies = crashed economy...

give PMB crude at $200pb & we would be in an even worse situation than we are now...

The question we should be asking ourselves is what the 5.8 trillion naira spent on as the public is yet to feel any positive impact of the expenditures.
It makes no sense that we are spending this high amount with nothing to show for it.

thanks.

the pro-PMB crowd on Nairaland were allowed to get away with a lot of trash & distortion of Nigeria's history for far too long.

they can't take out time to carry out a little research.

in fact, if they bothered, they would get out some really strong points on what i posted to show that PMB can turn things around if he put more effort into governance.
