I'm sorry but this scheme is a waste of funds. The scheme will gulp almost 150 billion naira in salary alone for the first 200000 people for the first two years. When the remaining 300000 join,it will cost another 200 billion naira for two years salary alone. This is a country where 22 million youths between the age of 15 and 34 are either unemployed or under employed. This is a country where 10 million children are out of school. Yet so much is being spent for cheap political promises. Is this the best we can do with 300 billion naira ? To employ 500000 for Two years out of 22 million youths? Surely this is another amnesty/surep in the making. Throwing money at the problem to look good
If you were called for the npower program, I congratulate you. It is your time to enjoy from the national cake like amnesty and sure p people. This won't solve anything
and what's your point and solution to the unemployment issue?

This guy is one of the problems with Nigeria ,it's either he is lying he hasn't been employed for 12 years after graduating so he can eat free Npower money monthly or he never learnt anything in that university he went to

If anybody is a fool here, certainly that person is you. The person you are asking those flimsy questions did not promise to create 3million jobs unlike your demigod Buhari..

Hater! The names of the beneficiaries were just released, there is definitely going to be teething problems. The FG will responsible for payment while the states will make use of the beneficiaries. The state governments also need time to sort things out. Buhari is the best thing to have happened to Nigeria in my life time.

You're d one dat understood his statement. It's not dat he is not working all dis while it's just that his job might not be reasonable.

Nigeria will remain in the dark for donkey years as long as youths like you are there to support clueless government. Did Buhari promise to create 200,000 jobs in two years or 3million jobs in one years. So you see 30,000 naira graduate empowerment scheme for two years as employment?
Do you know 30,000 naira is less than the salary is of a level 3 civil servant who probably has an O'level certificate with the current minimum wage?

It is not a permanent job. Rather, it is a two-year intervention programme for unemployed graduates".

Beneficiaries of the scheme are to be paid N30,000 monthly stipend.

So after 2 years, they will revert to their unemployed status again abi?

And can a take home of N30k/month take anybody home? Daily transport fare alone to work @N500/day will take N12,500 (almost 50% of the stipend).
