And if going to another state is ok, if the VO ask us why have we choosed a different state and not where we know someone.

Lemme start by saying I didn't see anything bad or iota of DESPIRATION in d question u asked,we shouldn't forget no one is an island.Coming to dis forum to ask question doesn't mean u dnt knw wat u are doing atall.Buh u are here to acquire a well detailed exposure and knowledge abt ur case.So I wil implore all d gurus in dis forum nt to be jumping to an hasty conclusion on some cases tabled here.
Sir,to ur question,no need of changing state,stick to d former state u used in ur last interview......so it won't stand as inconsistences on ur part,in as mch u want to involve ur uncle as ur tourist guide.
Note:ur uncle can't leave his work and touring wit u to another state.
Sir,wat matter most is ur purpose of travelling and ur ties back home to naija.Coz of this I wil advise u to romance google a bit to knw some attractive spots in d state u want to choose.

Good morning house,I do have some burning questions I would like the gurus in the house to help me with,I have my interview scheduled for the 14th of this month and I have been following this thread silently,now the issue is with my Ds-160 form as I truthfully filled I was going for a conference to represent my company which was for the 23rd of last month,now on filling and submitting the form I realised 14th of DEC was the closest available day for an Intetview,now my questions its a Business/Tourism visa,can I still attend the interview in view that the day of intended travel has elapsed?can the intended reason also be for tourism?will the VO Not see it as an issue since the day on my form was for the 23rd,pls I would love to hear from the gurus in the house thank you

Go through your post. Two options of what to do were stated. Have you tried either?

Those options aren't meant to bring out your data. It is a complaint tht they will will respond to via Email if u sent an email.

what really happened is that i didnt apply myself in 2014.. an agent did it for me. so it was a family application which visa was not given.. but now i want to apply for my wife and daughter only. so after filling the application for and printing the confirmation page. i want to schedule an appointment for interview so i entered as a new user for my wife. after filling the biodata page ANd want to continue to the next stage, it now brought out this message: Your personal details match the profile which already exists in our database. Goodmorning house. In the spirit of giving back to this lovely house this is my POE experience. Flew Ethiopian Airline to washington dulles on the 29th. Had 2 stops, Addis Ababa and dublin total duration was 22hrs(long but wonderful airline) Got to washington dulles and straight up through searches den immigration. Immigration was a breeze.

CBP: where are you going
Me: California for a conference
CBP: Do you have food?
Me: No.
CBP: welcome to America!!!.

Wow! I Was shocked,because the person in front of me(a white woman)was grilled hard with questions. I kept telling God to take control for me cos I nor wan hear say any kasala happen. And God did it. CBP didn't ask how much I had,didnt ask for documents to see hotel reservations or why my POE is washington, he just stamped me in 4 6months after my prints were taken . The airport wasn't busy when we came in and they were friendly. Thanks house for taking your time to give answers to all questions,it really helped.

I've been following this thread over the past four months and I must confess that you all are doing a fantastic job with the help!

I applied for the US visa (B1/B2) on the 4th of Nov and scheduled to be interviewed on Monday, the 5th of Dec. I'm going to the US for a fellowship program for social enterprise management...(no one needs the story)..lol.. Program starts in Jan. Its for two weeks, after which we will come back to our home organization and use the knowledge gained.

Anyways, I have the following documents with me for the interview:
- A letter from the fellowship organization.
- A letter from my organization introducing me.
- My Dad's bank statement (he is sponsoring the trip). Do I need to bring any form of ID from him?
Other documents include the confirmation page, passport photograph (couldn't upload during registration), international passport

What else should I plan to take along with me? And what advice does anyone have for me in general?

PS: This is my first time out of the country.

Where is your final destination? Carlifonia? You can fly in through any state.
The desicion to let you in is at the discretion of the CBP. Ordinrily, where one has a visa, he can change locations but If you got your visa for a specific purpose, then you should wear your explantion cap becaise you MAY be asked the reason you are doing something different from what u stated
