Yes, you have slums and you are poor as a nation not just the people. The whole of Kenya is building Nairobi while in Nigeria state government build their States and you still have to share your sources of income with other levels of government. For example, in Lagos state, federal government will collect tax, state government will collect tax and local government will still collect tax. In some cases community leaders will also collect but still they still try their best to government the state.

It's all about priority Bro. Believe me Nigerians have project far more expensive than that ongoing without UN assistance.

Nope thats where you are wrong, we are not building Nairobi, Nairobi tends to be like a magnet to international companies and thats why it grows
Some other towns and cities are growing too, just not as Nairobi, Nairobi dwarfs even other Eastern African Cities. Thats why there are many super tall buildings and Nairobi is very cosmopolitan btw.
But again you want to believe we only develop Nairobi so that you can feel good about Nigeria
I posted some golf estates from Thika and Naivasha, not Nairobi. We have a population of 44 million, so many small towns to small cities range, and from 100k to 500k. and many below 100k
will post more tomorrow, its 1:30 am here and I am sleepy

well, I don't understand how you do your thing there but I guess its just like merging other counties around the Nairobi to form the metropolis. If one googles Nairobi it only brings up the 692, that's why I thought it's similar to ours.

Lagos the smallest state but most populated,
Niger, the biggest in size +95,000km°.

They all have their level of urbanization and otherwise.

yeah, merging, Nairobi is not isolated. Like the way New York City is in New York state and New Jersey

Am sure you are not OK. How did you come to that useless conclusion. Have you been there to see for yourself? You just spit rubbish to feel better.

You flow nothing better you are still below us in every way. Abuja alone have more malls than Nairobi.

You just foolishly claimed Nigerians don't shop in malls but you have just 3 million people in Nairobi out of over 45 million in kenya. So where is the remaining 42 million people shop in kenya.

Don't think you are talking to a fool like you.

https://www.unicef.org/kenya/overview_4616.html
From this report 44 million Kenyan live below poverty line out of how many. You must be foolish to compare yourself with Nigerians.

This again shows more than 2/3 of Kenyans in Nairobi live in slums. So how do Kenyans shop in Malls.
Ibla, the report says 42 percent of 44miila. That's like over 18million.

Kenyans living under poverty line is 40% you say, okay, at least we update our figures and dont hide stuff. Last time, 2010, Nigerias was updated 70% were living below poverty line, never have we been that shitty, even in 2010,

and this is from your vice president last year
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/08/over-1-million-nigerians-living-below-poverty-line-osinbajo/

ABUJA – Vice President Yemi Osinbajo Wednesday stated that about 110 million Nigerians were still living below poverty line despite the policies of past governments to improve their welfare. The Vice President however stated that the policy were wrongly formulated and as a result did not have direct impact on the people.

You still don't know the meaning of big figures. The debt Nigeria is owing is low when compared to GDP. It is in no way a burden for us.

The 2010 source is old with inaccurate data. Why not try a 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 sources.

For example, Nairobi and Thika are like one city seperated by a looooooooong 50km road.

read this
Thika Road (commonly known as the Thika Superhighway) is an 8-lane controlled-access highway in Kenya, linking the capital city of Nairobi with the industrial town of Thika. The Thika Road forms the first 50 km of the A2 Highway, which links Nairobi to the Ethiopian border town of Moyale.

The 110mill stats. Is a big fat lie he probably saw on the internet just like the 100mill to $1 report, He said that immediately after his party won the election probably to discredit the previous administration.
Its not that there is no poverty in Nigeria but that figure is outrageous.

Yes, 10 billion dollars is really too low for Nigeria. If we were owing $200 billion then you know problem is mounting. Did you look at others on the list?

America is owing several trillion of dollars even higher than their GDP.

Just forget him. They want us to explain everything to them.

Do you know I just discovered that Nairobi is just 696km2 and Kenya is as big as 581,309km2?

They have been posting pics of the same area from different corners.

Secondly, they have the second largest estate in Africa after Nigeria but gwarimpa still have over 1000 units more. So they have been posting rendered images of some not completed and the once completed within the small city.

At this point I realize I am dealing with a complete clueless person now. Let me give you the areas of some of the world's most known cities and you'll do your Math.

New York (USA) 790km2
Paris (France) 105km2
London (UK) 1572 km2
Seoul (Korea) 602km2
Lagos (Nigeria) 902km2

.....and so on and so on. From the way you speak it seems you have no idea what a city proper is, what a metro is, what an urban conurbation is and what size an area of 696km2 is. Some Nigerian said on this thread that whilst Kenyans are arguing with facts they understand, Nigerians are just arguing our of ignorance because they've been told since they were babies that Nigeria is the greatest country in Africa. He couldn't be more truer.

If we can have over 100,000,000 people who actively subscribe for Internet service monthly plus over 140 million people who actively use mobile phones then I see no reason why you should see him as sensible person.

We are far far ahead of that statistics. Only 35% of Nigerian are poor but that is still a huge number.

China still have over 600 million poor people which is more than three times the size of Nigeria's population.

Everyone in Kibera (that you love to quote) has access to the fastest internet speed in Africa.( Yes, in case you didn't know Kenya has Africa's fastest internet speed). Going by your logic, no one in Kibera is poor.

You're one bitter person. The 3 million people in Nairobi are served by 27malls while 180m Nigerians are served by 30 malls. The rest of Kenya with 41m ppl is served by 64 malls compared to the 30 for Nigeria's 180m ppl. So contrary to what you imply, retail development in the rest of Kenya outside of Nairobi is still more than that of Nigeria inclusive of Lagos and Abuja. And Nairobi alone(696km)has almost as many malls as entire Nigeria (923,768km)

Then that unicef link you posted clearly says 42% of 44m Kenyans lived below the poverty line prior to devolution. Read articles entirely before posting. And so I see you went searching for derogatory articles on Kenya and yet when a Kenyan reciprocates you'll cry foul.

These naira folks are running on empty. Their N90 trillion economy (which after fall of Naira translate officially to less than 300b or well in black market 200busd) Is just fake.

Kenya retail sector is SECOND only to South Africa in Sub-Sahara Africa! The more I read what Naija got, the more I am convinced Kenya clearly is so much ahead of Nigeria despite not having petrodollars. Nigeria suffers from famous dutch disease..their economy has been completely strangled by oil and there is nothing going on there outside oil sector. Oil catches cold and Nigeria is in ICU.

Look at our real estate and construction sector...it so huge and private sector driven...these Naija thinks it the UN building houses in Nairobi shocked

Their biggest mall Tanapa - which most of time doesn't even electricity - is mere 18,000 sq meters. Nairobi boast the two biggest malls outside South Africa. Soon to open Two Rivers malls sit on 120 acres of land and will have lettable space of 700,000 sq meters - total space of 2M Sqm
- the mall itself will be 62,000 square meters. Garden city is about 65,000 square meters.

Opening on valentine - Nairobi's Two Rivers Mall - biggest in Sub-Saharan Africa outside South Africa. Anchor tenant will be French CarreFour (second biggest mall after wallmart).
