the answer to this long post is "we are all on the same page" pending successful submission

Seriously, I have been having mixed feelings about this APPLICATION STATUS thing.
I applied in the very early days of the advertisement (late October 2016). I applied for an Entry Level position.
After application and submission, I got a system generated serial number DPR/2016/***/**** with application status reading; 'PENDING - SUCCESSFULL SUBMISSION' (highlighted in orange colour) and further instructions reading;
"This is a Temporary Copy, Do Not come with this copy to the examination hall, Please Check back later for the Permanent Copy"
Though all the sections still showed I could EDIT/ADD. I was scared to click on it anyways
I saved the page.

After about 2weeks, my application status changed to APPROVED (highlighted in green colour) with further instruction reading;
"Successful candidates should come along with their registration slip to the examination centre."
Immediately, I saved the page.

Not up to a week later, the application status reverted back to PENDING - SUCCESSFULL SUBMISSION (highlighted in orange colour) with further instruction reading;
"Successful candidates should come along with their registration slip to the examination centre."


Now, that is my main worry. So I decided to ask the following questions and I would appreciate answers with the number quoted for clarity.

1. Is this the case with those who have successfully filled all the sections and submitted?
2. Does the application number; DPR/2016/***/**** generate only when the application has been successfully submitted? Meaning if you have the application number, you need not EDIT/ADD/RE-REGISTER?
3. Do those having issues with any of the sections/stages have the application number; DPR/2016/***/**** already?

Off line now,
Though I am suspecting it will be the usual Ministries/Departments/Agencies standard of minimum of 6months from advert of placement to appointment.
Please can anyone here who have written the exams before or knows any staff of DPR kindly furnish us with an idea of what the examination/selection process looks like?

Yes, it takes you to your application slip on DPR portal.

If it keep showing error, continue to refresh it by pressing F5 till the page goes back to the previous stage and continue again

Have been trying to apply but my higher institution details keep showing no institution found. Even after trying some of the suggestion on this thread such as; uploading my docs without adding my higher institution details, then when i got to the "summit and print" page i tried adding it but to no avail. the total size of my pdf docs is not even up to 300kb and have tried using both google chrome and mozilla firefox but still the same result. Pls any feasible idea on how to add the higher institution details will be really appreciated...thanks in anticipation

yes it is temporary approval ok u will av to wait for them to approval ur registration form before u can print d slip out. I will send d one I av to u.

lol, sounds like ure playing a video game...make sure ure using ur phone browser, notuc or operamini..or better stil use a system

I already mailed the portal after receiving the "update info" email too hoping that I will know d way forward if they reply.

I suggest you use a desktop/laptop to edit your profile.....or simply walk into a good cyber cafe and have their experienced staff handle the headache for you. Most times, the site behaves when it knows you are accessing it from a desktop or laptop.

Try it by 2am when there is minimum traffic on the DPR server.

So sorry for getting back to you late, as I've not been online for quite a while.

With respect to your complaint, I suggest you throw more light on what exactly you're doing that gives that hitch. That way, one might be able to profit the right solution. Do you get an error message anywhere?

Although this might come across as stating the obvious, I suggest you try this:

On the education qualification page, first add your higher institution details, then your secondary school details, then upload the docs accordingly and hit the save button. If it still doesn't work that way, just fill your secondary school details, upload your docs and move on. Then on the final page, add your higher institution details before you submit your application.

For those still having one issue or the other - especially those who got "incomplete application" mails, I suggest you do all you can to complete your application before the deadline. If you were convinced that you applied successfully and they still sent you the mail, kindly log in and see things for yourself. If your profile doesn't have the "submit application" button, you can simply ignore the mail (my opinion).

Hi,

I don't seem to understand. Did you try adding your institution to your profile when you got the bold message above? If not, I suggest you do so, as it appears the site is now stable. I remember editing my profile after the final submission, and the added info is still there till date.

I wouldn't advise you to apply with another account, cos that will disqualify you.
