I agree with him it's just for self defence anyway these days Christians choose to die in silence Christianity has weaken these days I see Christians and their gluttons of leaders stand and preach without practice. these days they think the word "CRUSADE" is gathering gullible & poor christians in an open field and taking the little they have. 6 Likes |

henrydadon:Since when did self-defense become war or crime. When terrorists know you are armed, they thread gently. Many of them are cowards who only know they have the edge because most law abiding citizens don't think of having arms 9 Likes |

All of you saying he's sounding the drums of war, what are y'all saying?? Should the christians of southern Borno then fold their arms and be annihilated without self defence in the face of lack of government protection? Rubbish! 4 Likes |

I do not support CAN arming the Christians but it is imperative of everyone that is been harassed especially by the marauding herdmen to take up arms to defend themselves. This government is not interested in defending them. The Patron of the marauders is in the government. The case of Kaduna town came to mind. From the 1990s the Christians were on the receiving end virtually every 3 years but the Sharia crisis of the year 2000 taught everyone a big lesson. It was tit for tat. There was peace for 11 year until 2011 post election crisis. Both groups slaughtered each other and I was surprised the aggressors could call a truce. My pious neighbours took up arms and went on rampage after their Pastor's only child was slaughtered for no just cause. It is easy to say no to Omatseye's suggestion if you are not on the receiving end. No one has monopoly of violence. 8 Likes |

The opinion is 100℅ supported but not using tithe.Christian can buy arms for self defence. Now Muslims think they have the monopoly of violence, but when they are proved wrong by consistent and sustained reprisals, would those nomadic sons of Ishmael be pushed back were they belong, that's how Isreal stays in charge in the middle east. The folks expressing negative reaction to the opinion are largely muslims so it shouldn't be surprising. Is the claim of Muslims attacking Christians and their homes in southern Kaduna true: If yes defending and attacking back would balance the terror since govt have consistently demonstrated negligence and left the victim's to their negative fate. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Is about time pastors started teaching personal preservation. Arming oneself is the first step toward preservation. |

What is more inciting than d attack in d first place. Don't crucify d man, it's just a bitter pill. Those people were attacked cos they were defenseless. And subsequent attacks went on and on successfully without counter-attack or govt actions. Sometin needs to happen. 3 Likes 1 Share |

How come newspaper websites didn't really report much about this sad incidence? On topic, there is nothing wrong with what the man said after all, we know how some leaders of the other religion usually stockpile arms in their places of worship only to distribute it to willing blood suckered during religious violence. Can should arm Christians in SK for the sake of self defense because no set of humans were created to be used as sacrificial lambs.. 2 Likes |

Omatseye is only reacting this way because of Tinubu... "FG should do its job..." Let's be honest, Omatseye is looking for ways to express disenchantment against the FG. Had Tinubu been in the place of Mamman Daura, The Omatseye I know will not say this. He would even say the FG is doing everything right. He may even blame it on GEJ. Telling us it's effect of bad governance of past administrations. Folks, the sentiments of this man is not pure. We know him. 1 Like |
