Which point did we prove? We didn't take a dedicated OPV and fitted it with missiles.... We striped off missiles from a MISSILE SHIP and left a bb-gun for patrolling, why can't you get basic English comprehension?

As for the Indian OPVs, it would have been an Indian navy requirement before it was even designed so there was room for the missiles to be fitted when needed.

Keep going round in circles.

According to the SA navy, when they were stripped off missiles they became OPVs. Go argue with your navy.

VLS tubes henry, the Type 056 has VLS tubes.

The naval designers are not going to leave that space empty.

So, unless you have acess to the design plans for the NNS centenary, as well as the systems-architecture, saying "we can put missiles on it" is complete speculation.

If you want to speculate, go to beegeagles blog
this is where u mix things...the type 056 doesn't use VLS...u can check on Fl-3000n/FM-90 SAM and the C802 ASM...both are add ons to the superstructure

Can the Nigerians here explain to me why you all are so excited about prop trainers? Or is it because the arrival of these portends imminent delivery of your JF-17?

I was about to say the same thing!! The type056 comes with SAM launchers, they don't have vls.

Both P18 I believe can be fitted with 1 fn-3000n launchers... However I don't know if they can accommodate ASMs like the type 056.

yes ASM can be mounted too...besides our variants is the largest of the type 056 family ..I don't think add ons will cause sweat

Don't mind Patches, he is talking his usual dust.

What is an OPV, an OPV is a Corvette or Frigate that has been stripped of it's missiles and instead channeled to patrol duties.

NNS Centenary and Unity are both Type056 Corvettes, however they are the largest available variants of the Type056. Look at Thailand's Type056 or PLAN's 056, you'll see that our boat is larger.

Integrating missiles on the Type056 which is a corvette is not going to be a problem, it is specifically designed to be a frontline fighting ship. There is nothing on NNS Unity or Centenary that has been added, instead stuffs have been removed. Adding missiles if required to a natural corvette which the Type056 is, would not be a problem.

For example, Indian navy OPVs can be fitted with missiles if required.

It can carry 2 helicopters, one in the hangar and the other on deck.

It can still carry 12 VLS tubes behind the main gun, there is enough space to accommodate it.

How are the two related, apart from PAC being the common denominator? Let me explain: I imagine these are separate divisions of PAC whose production schedules aren't inter-dependent?

cheesy this man ehn

Anyway...I wish we could get the Chinese to do a redesign based on the p18 and we use it to bridge both 2 frigate requirement and 2 corvette requirement
and just build FACs at home

No time for your long wish list at the moment.

All I want to know, in a simple yes or no, has Patches689 now been officially destroyed?

Not sure.....looking at your P18s it doesn't look if there is a lot of place left for ASMs.....if there is I doubt you'll be able to fit more than 2X2 launchers.

Highly doubt there's room behind the main gun.....the type056 carries SAM launchers for a reason, otherwise they would've had VLS tubes

I'm not excited about the Helos to be honest, I understand it's a gift, but the Cobra would have been more suitable for the KDF.

Oga, you're talking rubbish. I've simply proven with photo evidence that a VLS tube can be mounted behind the main gun if required.

Whatever you want to do with the free education I've provided you is all your problem.

Yes henry, CAN if the ship has them designed into it.

Do you realize that VLS tubes penetrate the deck and go deep inside of the ship? Do you realize that the tubes need various canisters, containers to maintain the inert gas inside of them? Do you think that the naval archiatects decided to just leave this huge area empty?

Fact is, that you have no idea what is now in that area, so to state categorically that you can just cut open the deck and place VLS tubes there is speculation.

So, what is happening here I that I am calling you out for speculation... and then you are trying to disprove me... with more speculation.

You havent seen the design, you dont know the systems-architecture, you dont know what you are talking about.

Stop.
