I said it can be done, both Odunayaw and Jln115 prove it can be done.

Nobody on this board apart from the guys in the military can speak categorically on stuffs.

All virtually all of us who comment here do is speculate.
Can be fitted I agree but systems would have to be moddified , missiles would need to be integrated and some physical modifications would need to be done.....hence it would take time and a lot of money.

I think @Patches689 is arguing that the P18s are NOT "fitted for but not with" as for example our Valours are fitted to carry 16 ASMs but are only fitted with 8.....no modifications would be needed to add the extra 8 ASMs. Our Warrior class OPVs are the same.

Since you asked so nicely. Any truth that Kenya secretly has OH-1 Ninjas in its inventory? Apparently that's them in the Japan-shaped formation cleverly disguised as clouds. grin grin grin
we are still offering 72 virgins service delivery with our MD500's,so don't be alarmed that services aren't being offered

What military is this? The trainer looks like he is wearing NA camo but the guys laying prone don't look Nigerian, plus the G3 rifles..

Belgian or Dutch army desert cammo on the instructor? Nigerien troops with the G3.

i just hope they turn some into gunships

It remains to be seen how effective they would be as a Gunship. To be honest, who are your main arms suppliers, what country does Kenya buy heavy equipment from?

I find it rather surprising that Kenya has no attack helicopters.

Anyway...I wish we could get the Chinese to do a redesign based on the p18 and we use it to bridge both 2 frigate requirement and 2 corvette requirement
and just build FACs at home

There are multiple very good existing Frigates in the market to choose from China, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. My personal favourite is the Sigma class light Frigate from Damen. However if i want to be realistic, the Meko 200 from Germany would be a perfect fit for us.

We already vessels from 3 of the 4 aforementioned countries, but with the politics of arms procurement, it would be best for us to mix Chinese weapons on any platform we may intend to procure.

Building a FAC at home would be fantastic, we can build the super structure, then get any weapons system we desire to integrate on them. Again my personal favorite is the KCR-60 (pictured). If we build vessels like these, i would be livid!!

Realistically anyway, we probably would buy from abroad, however with the recent drive to make in Nigeria, i could be wrong.

The MD500's and Z-9's light attack helicopters are the backbone of our helicopter combat support

in terms of politricks in full swing...sigma is not our portion(we know the Parliament we have)..same goes for meko (which to me is one very sexy whale)
this leaves us with papa chinco..we could do just like the Algerians(as with the c28A)...get the hull from them..get navigations eqpt. and the likes from other sources and make use of chinco weapons.

as for FACs...if na spiritual hand wey wan make us buy from abroad..that hand must catch fire

"But what I can tell you is that right now as I speak to you, we are expecting the Pakistani Chief of Air Staff in Nigeria soon. Pakistan has accepted to sell ten trainer airplanes. And that is why the Pakistan Chief of Air Staff is coming for the induction ceremony which is going to take place in Kaduna"

I first thank God for Russia before i sleep every night. I mean, left to the west, they'd rather see Nigeria burn like Syria.

The Hind is a marvelous bird, the sound of the rotors, when a Hind is flying towards you is overwhelming, you can feel a flying T-90ms coming towards you.

I also like the fact with our Hinds, no space is wasted, all 6 hard points, the main gun and 2 window gunners firing 7.62 MGs.

Great bird!

Really? All 6 hard points? What (and against what) are you mounting on the wing-tip pylons?
