No be say anything somebody like Ahmed Musa would not have made the starting 11 for any of the Super Eagles teams of 2006 & Earlier. 1 Like |

enomakos:I don't agree. In 1997/1998, Betis was 8 on the la liga table. In 1998/1999, Betis was 11 on the la liga table. In 1999/2000, Betis was 18 on the la liga table. Please how was that same club one of the top three clubs in spain. If Finidi was the best winger in the world, he would not be playing for a relegation team. 1 Like |

joseph1013: Manchester United and Real Madrid were interested in his signature in 1996. In fact, there was already a verbal agreement with Madrid before he eventually moved to Betis which was a big club at the time. He was considered by many commentators as the best at the time. Ofcourse, there was no award for that. |

tbaba1234: The thing is Finidi started small. As at 1992 he was still at Sharks FC in the NPL. By then Figo don win WYC in 1991and was playing for Sporting CP. As at the mid 90s Finidi was being rated above Figo. |

Icon79: But what was his performance like after that AFCON? That was when he jst moved from Wigan to Chelsea. We expected a lot from Victor Moses bt he didn't leave up to that expectation. How was his performance at the 2014 World Cup? He was nt even a starter. Btw do u mind if I lend u a hammer for that ur ipad? |

Manu and I were definitely watching the same game... Chalobah was even yellow-carded because of the incident. Nacho was not.... He went to stand-in for Aguero who Chalobah attacked ....................................................................... Nigeria Coach Defends Iheanacho – He Wasn’t Inciting Trouble He Was Protecting Aguero Kelechi Iheanacho role in the spat that happened at the end of Manchester City 3-1 loss to Chelsea has been defended by coach of the Nigeria U17s/U19s Manu Garba. Former England international and Manchester United ace Phil Neville faulted the Nigerian for his role in the fracas, suggesting that the Nigerian escalated the issue that led to the scuffle between Cesc Fabregas and Fernandinho. The Brazilian got sent off in the ensuing melee, alongside Sergio Kun Aguero who was sent off for his wild lunge on Chelsea defender David Luiz, but Manu Garba insist that Iheanacho was merely protecting the Argentine. ”He is such a quiet lad, a well behaved kid, he was merely protecting Aguero who was surrounded by lot of Chelsea players after the tackle on David Luiz”, Manu Garba told Owngoalnigeria.com. ”It’s wrong for anyone to insinuate that he escalated the issue, he was only protecting his teammate who was under attack from players of the opposing side, it’s so normal for him to do that”. [quote author=Mickael2 post=51662993] you said it perfectly well! The level of confidence nigerians had prior to that game against Denmark was insane. I can even remember that match well enough, my mom came into the parlour when the match was about to start and was like 'who are we playing today?', even before my junior bro could finish pronouncing Denmark she said 'mtchw, I will only watch the game against Brazil'. She totally rubbished Denmark, what happened then I'd never know I swear, since then she doesn't watch our games anymore, sad sad story[/ quote] I remember that evening too. I was so distraught and still in a bubble that the next day in school I was willing to believe the news making the rounds that FIFA had tested Eber Sand and that he tested positive and therefore the match was going to be replayed. I needed to believe that lie to cope with the shock. I still remember how Taribo West did that turn on the ball. Sad, sad evening |
