uwc miss. meanwhile Graduate certificate is an upgrade from B.SC in a systematic order. Postgraduate diploma/postgraduate certificate fall into the category of Graduate certificate. PGC(D) is more of acquiring practical/technical expertise in a particular field/area of study which in Canadian immigration system MUST be related to either you UG degree/work experience or even both if possible.Having a Maters degree from the U.K is a higher upgrade from bsc and pgc(d) and a VO may hardly be convinced on your ''purpose of visit'' which beyond reasonable doubt that even a S.O.P cannot do the magic when things are not humanly in order. opting for another masters in canada may solve this, preferably PHD admission would give you a perfect chance.

Thanks Boss, I would have to look for another appropriate route then.. Cheers wink

Ricky....taking a course based masters means one cannot proceed to Phd after the program....
It depends on the school bro, mail your program coordinator. I'm going for an M.Eng program in Regina and my coordinator assured me that I can proceed for PhD if I wish

He never said he doesn't need funding from the school, i am sure he needs thats why he is goung for Msc instead of M.Eng, another perk of thesis-based is that he can proceed directly to PhD if he wishes.
Best bet is for him to contact supervisors beforehand and know whether to continue with the application or look elsewhere but i believe his 4.36 might take him in, 4.36 (87%) no be joke na.
I understand you bro, I just gave him a tip that worked for me. But the best bet is to secure a supervisor and I'm sure he will get a positive response with that GPA. Though Perseverance is very much required

You're welcome bro.

Trv means temporary resident visa. It's a visa that allows you to enter Canada temporarily for a particular purpose e.g study.

Go to the first page of this thread to get useful links.

Ask specific questions and you shall find answers to your queries. Do an extensive research before asking questions here as people are generally inclined to answer people who have done some extent of research on their own.

Start by googling the schools that offer your program.

Depends on your purpose in Canada. There's no generic list of documents required. It all depends on your purpose of visit to Canada and facts or circumstances peculiar to you.

State your purpose and ye shall find answers to your queries.

You're welcome.

The person has BA and still going for undergraduate studies. This can raise critical questions. The person should try masters admission.

Try post graduate certificate programs or post graduate diploma programs.

Admissions are relatively easy.

Thanks bro, your replies to peoples' issues helped me arrange everything well. I'm presently trying to make choice of either to go U Regina or Carleton. However reviews I see online points U Regina may be better - career-wise. Thanks once again!

One thing you need to understand about Canada is that crossing the huddle of admission is only a first step. Getting trv is another difficult huddle to cross. Most reasons for visa refusals are inconsistency between undergraduate discipline and proposed program. It's not impossible to change career but you have to state cogent reasons with documentary evidence to support your reasons. My advice is for you to look for programs that are consistent with your undergraduate degree so as not to have issues with trv.

This is very possible. In Canada you're allowed to work 20hrs/week during study in Canada. You can as well work full time during scheduled breaks/holidays.

I have a year and four months experience in banking although as a direct sales agent, would this help as an evidence of carrier change?

Yes it would.

Your proposed program should be consistent with your academic background or employment history.

Ensure to get a very detailed letter of introduction from your employer to support you claims.
