My house is very close to a canal and alligators of different shapes and sizes breeze in and out of the canal to our compound as they like. This particular one we killed is one of the smallest we've seen in months. They are usually bigger than this. Guess it's about time we relocate.

It's a regular supply of meat op.

Those things are not as dangerous as crocodiles.

Basically an Alligator looks like a Croc. Monitor lizard on the other hand has a snake like head and tongue ... let me show you in pictures

Just to add Alligators are not indigenous to Africa, only found in China and North America..

This is not an alligator (you don't find alligators in Africa except if imported as pets). This animal is the monitor. It's a lizard, while alligators are crocodilians.
