Yes you are right, you have to be physically present in Canada for 1460 days after PR. Considering that I was in school for 1 year n half then work for another one year before applying, 3.5 years is not long. I believe studying in Canada is not that hard, though you may have loads of course work, but the professors are always willing to provide assistance. On getting PR, you need to finish your school program first, then get a skilled work. There are different streams you can apply through, but the fastest is the Express entry. With Canadian educational qualification and skilled job experience, the chance of getting enough points for ITA (Invitation to apply) is high. Thank you for the reply. You and other founding fathers dwell a lot on the PR and citizenship back then. Am opportuned to read it. Co-op program was also talked about then and Second-tier citizenship I guess. What role does 6 month co-op play in applying for PR immediately after study? Is the second-tier citizenship still on and any limit to benefits they enjoy? |

You and other founding fathers dwell a lot on the PR and citizenship back then. Am opportuned to read it. Co-op program was also talked about then and Second-tier citizenship I guess. What role does 6 month co-op play in applying for PR immediately after study? Is the second-tier citizenship still on and any limit to benefits they enjoy? With 6 month Co-op program, you can get employed by the company after you finish. And you need a permanent full-time job when applying for the express entry program. About the 2nd tier citizenship, it's called bill C-24. The essence was to stop terrorists from using Canada as a safe haven for their devilish act. The government realize that there are some immigrants and children of immigrants that have dual citizenship, and because of this, they join extreme terrorists group believing that Canadian government will fight on their behalf when they get caught. Hence the government passed a bill that if you have dual citizenship, and you commit a terrorist act, your Canadian citizenship will be revoked. Apart from this, you have every single right and benefit as any other Canadian. In honesty, Canadians are very hospitable and open-minded. 3 Likes |

platypelloid: Hello, pls anybody applying to UBC?
Must i get a research supervisor before sending my application? do i have to write ielts and gre?
Kindly assist in thesequestions.
No u wont need to get any supervisor before and after applying. you will be assigned an advisor about two months to the begining of your class. That was the reply l got from the school when l asked about getting a supervisor after l was admitted. on IELTS: l didnt write any. the recommendation form to be filled by your lecturer or supervisor will take care of that. They will specify on your English capability. hope that helps? |

perrol: Good work to everyone, please I want enlightenment on this, my fiancee is the principal applicant for master in Canada, After the admission letter/acceptance what is the next step to take? because we are going together. thanks You simply need to be clear/detailed enough to get the kind of information you desire ooo.. What is her UG course? What grade? Have you secured admission yet? Which sch... What program? It is after that admission phase that you can begin your study permit processing.. But my only advise here is that... Make sure you study well and strive to satisfy "every" requirements as regards your TRV application (take useful advises from the thread). ... Cos... It might just be worth it after all!!... .do not wait till after submission before you begin reading posts on this thread! Regards. |
