Donald Trump has been named the 2016 Time magazine person of the year.

The announcement was made on Time's website and NBC’s Today show on Wednesday morning.

The award is decided by Time’s editors and goes to the person or group who have had a major influence on the news for better or worse.

The President-elect, who was placed third last year, said receiving the title was a "great honour".

In an article explaining the decision, editor Nancy Gibbs said the real estate mogul has been given the title "for reminding America that demagoguery feeds on despair and that truth is only as powerful as the trust in those who speak it, for empowering a hidden electorate by mainstreaming its furies and live-streaming its fears and for framing tomorrow's political culture by demolishing yesterday's".

The Syrian war was being stoked by Pro Hillary elements and her loss means the program has to wind down so all the terrorist she amassed in Syria have to start leaving as Trump wont be funding them again..Trump personally went to carrier last week to appeal to the not to shut down their factories in the US and the agreed there by saving 1200 jobs and just yesterday Softbank of Japan said it will be investing 50 billions dollars in the US and creating over 40000 jobs because they have faith in Trump.

Except the Time's person of the year award, according to CNN, is given to someone who affects the news positively/negatively.

Even though we don't like Trump, what we can agree on is that the way he won the election changed the way the whole world looked at America. He uprooted the establishment in America and won the election against all odds.

I, personally, feels like he deserves it. Some people who were behind him to win it were Hilary and Putin.

1.)The was in Syria is nowhere near being over and won't be over for a while.Russia has teamed up with Assad forces since September 2015 in the name of figting ISIS and taking back ISIS held territories.In their 16 months air assault on Syrian cities,the only casualties are Syrian citizens who take shelter in theses cities from Assad forces that have rained down Hell on them through gas attacks,air raids and incessant shelling a.Russia joined in this campaign and has killed close to 9,000 Syrians.Russia has launched an endless campaign against Syrian rebels fighting the murderous Assad regime.The result has been devastating as innocent lives have been lost.

No,the war in Syria is not over,it will escalate if Trump supports Russia's free rein in Syria or even lends the slightest sympathy to Assad's regime.

2.)No he didn't save 1200 Carrier jobs.That deal is nothing but crony capitalism.Giving huge tax cuts to the boss without improving the working conditions of the employees,no significant increase in pay for the 1000 jobs that will remain.Carrier still gets to ship 900 jobs to Mexico and gets a $7million incentive which the company intends to use to replace human workforce with robots soon enough.More jobs will be lost while Carrier gets to take money from the states and huge tax cuts from the federal government.

3.)Donald is taking credit for the SoftBank deal,the deal was a joint venture with Saudi Arabia announced back in October.It's an Obama administration deal set at $100billion.
